I actually  own Andromeda on a fucking disc. It was shit but also so far removed from the Trilogy that you could ignore it.

Or the shitty Castlevania Netflix show where they made 60% of the villagers in 1500s Europe black and had Alucard gay raped. KCD2 is nothing at that level. If you compare it to a classic like ES:IV Oblivion. Oblivion is way more "woke".

Oblivion is fun however. It turns out game play trumps politics in the long run.

Synth has been seething about the thread and the farms non-stop for a month. In response, a lot of superchats and chat messages have been people shitting on both the farms and Null. His head janny was gathering posters from here into his discord and doing drama streams. We've had several new accounts come in specifically to police what was being posted here.
I pointed out as it was happening that Synth is low impulse and can't formulate good responses on the fly and it was only a matter of time before he got baited into saying something retarded about Null.

You have a point in that his videos and streams are two different worlds and his video audience is mostly oblivious about what's happening in the streams. But considering most of the hitpieces and controversies around him stem from the streams, I assume he's dependent on the easy stream money.

Calling Null a pedo wouldn't mean much on its own if he didn't already have a lot of his stream viewers shift towards alogging because of the Kirsche drama.

I'll check out his stream and see if he's still seething next time one comes up. I know the last one was suppose to be his final point on it so we'll see if that holds true. Wouldn't be the first time someone said they were not going to discuss something and then they discuss it ad nauseum.

Consider this as well. The Puar is Sexy video about this has about 13K views. Synth's most recent video has over 300K. Most people aren't going to know this drama even exist. Its the same case with the MATI archive which has like 14K (which was about a totally different topic since Janny Josh didn't do his homework). And as you mentioned, people are joining just to police kind of signifies what I said, that some of the backlash is a specific section of his fans (assuming I'm not misinterpreting what you said) If he ignores it, it will blow over (though, admittedly, that's a big IF). And to rehash what I said previously, if he has two audiences, a pro anime audience is likely bigger since they are just bigger in nerd culture in general. I know people wont like that but its the way things are.

I still can't believe he declined to make a Dragon Age Veilguard video. Skillup's uncharacteristically savage review shitting on it has almost 3 million views, literally free money and he didn't do it.

Agree on this. Same for Expedition 33 (wanted to see if the hype was genuine). He really just needs to be doing more videos and seeing as he's a NEET, there is no reason he shouldn't. I agree on the sentiment, and in a lot of ways I myself ignore this stuff for games I'm truly interested it, KCD really doesn't seem for me, but I did it for RDR2 or Alan Wake 2 for example. However let's not forget this is all a reaction to 10+ years of cancel culture and calling anyone to the right of chomsky a nazi, getting them fired, and firing and denying any platform to any developer with views opposed to them.

Truthfully due to an oversight in the lore it's an underage gay romance (Hans Capon is 15 according to lore, well was until they retroactively patched all that out) and there's a few brown people and one black guy of decently significant plot importance. Is it the end of the world? No, but people pretending it's some really good based game because it has half as much gay shit and DEI as the others are delusional. Almost as delusional as the people that pretend a shitty game with a brown female main character is actually really good.

So goes to show that people need to stop seeking entertainment that only lines up with your morals and political values. You should only go on if you think it's actually quality and well made.

I don't think it's a pro-anime and anti-anime schism.
It's people that have bought into the ideology Synth was preaching in the endless doomer hour streams (doomer/blackpill/incel or whatever) and are viewing Synth's interactions with Kirsche as hypocritical and a humiliation ritual versus people that don't care (or people that do care but are too dependent on their relationship with Synth to drop him).

I don't know which part is bigger, but, based on what I've read in this thread, the former is a sizeable part of his stream audience.

They recently admitted to using several sensitivity readers to scour the script to save them from accidentally offending anyone. They were afraid making games journalists mad. It's not just the nigger or the underage gay sex, the whole script is ass. Yes it might on a technical level be the least bad of recent AAA releases. But the combat is a sidegrade from the original, meaning it's still janky and unpleasant. It's an ok game, but not nearly as good as it should have been, ignoring the meandering idiotic story, the propaganda, the jew stuff and so on. The anger toward KCD2 is justified. It's a betrayal. First game sold 7+ million. It cleared 2+ million near launch. It's possible it might not ever match the original's sales.
