Look man, all I can say about this sorta thing is what the doctors told me.

And all I'm saying is that this guy was probably into some shit that knocked a few screws loose in his brain. I don't think this came about out of nothing, so to speak. What his delusions are centered around speaks a lot about him, and I'd be willing to put some money on some sort of abuse happening that sent him down this road

I didn't notice until you pointed it out, then I had to go back to every single page of this thread and verify. It's hard, because he often uses his left hand to hold and display everything, but it's clearly missing in some photos.

Nobody said jail was easy for pedos.

he was accidentally shot in the stomach by a friend when he was a child. i guess they were playing with a family gun or something and the kid just spergd... to me that sounds like a viable truama to trigger a lot of his problems..

It's unclear whether the shooting was accidental or not. From the ED article (of course not available right now because ED shat itself again) it did not appear to be an accident iirc.

I know this was from way back but it still cracks me up. It's like Keith Richards telling you you've got a drug problem. His brother is quite the piece of work, known as the "loneliest prophet." Kind of sad to be a cult of one but shows you need not just batshit ideas but the all important charisma - which these guys have none.

I would guess that it depends on a lot of things, especially his post-release evaluations, and fuck only knows how his probation officer thought he was sane.

Part of Edarem's problem was that he was very obviously attempting to associate with underage people through his YouTube channel and didn't put any restraints on who could view it, like only 18+ or similar. He was developing a sort of cult following among young adults and kids. The courts didn't immediately throw him in jail for running the channel, either. They told him to get offline and stay offline. He interpreted that to mean that he should continue to make online content, and have his weird friend/wife/transmonkey lover post it online for him. The courts found this approach inappropriate and tossed him back in jail for violating conditions of his release and for failing to register as sex offender appropriately when he moved from one state to the next.

Edarem's "Pretty Woman" video is straight-up nightmare fuel. I'd link to it but his clearly unhinged widow(er) has it set up so it doesn't play in most of the developed world. His lucidity made him so much scarier than John.

John is in no danger of attracting anyone except trolls. He may not be permitted to be online - not sure about the nature of his release - but he's so demented and gross and unfunny that kids aren't gonna be into him ironically so maybe no one is concerned about him wandering the Internet. His very existence is a form of deterrent.

How comes John and Nick Bate did pretty much the same crime but John got 10 years in the slammer whereas Nick will rot in there until old age?

I suppose the 20+ year gap between the two sentences could be the reason, but I am not sure.
