TJLC - The JohnLock Conspiracy - Fine Whine Tasting Session

I cease to understand why fangirls proceed to attempt to make everything seem subtextually homo in shows that have few hints whatsoever, or where a bond is strong, but clearly not from a romantic standpoint.

'Cease' implies that you understood it in the first place.

Also, allow me to introduce you to the Transformers fandoms on DA and Tumblr sometime. They insist on making both Optimus and Starscream gay for Megatron, even though it's pretty much enshrined in canon that Optimus and Megs are bitter enemies and Starscream spends his life trying to usurp him.

They also keep the whole "Starscream tries to backstab Megatron and Megatron blasts holes in Starscream's torso with his arm cannon" aspect of their interactions even when it's supposed to be "shippy". Because that's romantic, right?

I knew she was the one from the first moment she chainsawed my arm off.

In other words, validation.
bitches should just go reblog some actual yowiee or some shit

They're fucking robots of mass destruction. Where are you supposed to find the romance in that?
Well, Rule 34 is a thing. Which means it basically lives to defecate on any given show at any given time no matter the target audience.

It ruins integrity, certainly.

I posted this to the YouTubeIsOver thread, but since it's Johnlock related it also fits here.

As a fan of both anime and Supernatural, although not a watcher of Sherlock, I cease to understand why fangirls proceed to attempt to make everything seem subtextually homo in shows that have few hints whatsoever, or where a bond is strong, but clearly not from a romantic standpoint.

Can two men have a close relationship without it being deemed as gay, is that not what the term "bromance" is for? There's also a very small ratio of gay guys in the world relative to straight ones, gaying everyone up isn't gonna change that.

And when they do proceed to gay everything up, they write absurd slash fictions and actively portray the gay aspects of the relationship to be very stereotypical, especially in the case of animanga and yaoi, and the superwholock conglomerate. and that's very odd. As someone who's bi I just don't see why it's necessary to make every same sex platonic relationship into an outwardly sexual one.
Bromances are totally gay bro.

Thought this was deader than Elvis. Maybe not. Hopefully lots of estrogen infused REEEING when Cumberbatch either flat out says "fuck no" or demands so much money it amounts to the same thing. If I did Tumblr I'd check out how they're taking this, but, alas I do not.

PAGE 1 OF 4Sherlock: “I Sort Of Assume We’ll Come Back”, Says Moffat
Steven Moffat has just one episode left as Doctor Who boss, and he's already lined up a new project with Mark Gatiss: a Dracula series at the BBC. But this doesn't mean that Sherlock is finished.

"We did [the last series] a year ago, just about, and I've been flat-out on Doctor Who ever since," Moffat told Digital Spy. "So I haven't really thought about it."

"Mark has been doing other stuff as well," he added, "so we haven’t sat down and had a proper talk about what we would do with another series."

"I sort of assume we will", Moffat teased. "I sort of assume we'll come back."

And that's the full extent of what Moffat said. New Sherlock still seems a long way away, but it's interesting that nobody is ruling it out as of yet.

Broadcast a few months back, "so I guess they’ll ask us again, and then we’ll have to see first of all if we have three films we want to make, and then if Benedict and Martin have the time, schedule and inclination."

If the answers to those questions were 'no', it wouldn't be the end of the world he suggests: "It’s not like we haven’t had our reward for doing that show, it’s been such a phenomenon. Not doing it again would be fine. If that was it, then that would be it. None of us will starve in the street - well, I might."

We'll keep you posted as we hear more.
