Considering that Oingo Boingo existed LONG before Elfman started doing movie scores, and it took Tim Burton a LOT of effort to convince him to do the Pee-Wee's Big Adventure score as his first movie work, I definitely do not count Oingo Boingo as movie-related in the slightest, aside from them contributing songs to the soundtracks of some great 80s comedies.
But it's not unlikely that Jay discovered them through movies. Especially because they have a song on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 soundtrack.

Brought to you by the same guys that cried about the poor starving African children. Think about how many kids they could have fed with that money.
That really was an all-time retard moment, a verbal snafu eclipsing Rich’s worst crimes against the English language. Especially since it was in defense of Disney, who have more money than God. It’s fine for Disney to waste $400m on Dexter Jettster’s Anal Adventures: A Bisexual Star Wars Story rather than feeding starving niglets because…it just is, OK chud? Leave the multi-billion dollar corporation alone!

Do anyone defend red letter media anymore outside of reddit? I see the RLM bigger lulzcow than anyone still working for Doug Walker.
Nah, there's plenty of people on Youtube alone who are much, much worse. I doubt they have strong opinions on any topics that matter. They never had shit fits like Spoony, they don't spend all day posting hot takes on Xitter and supporting the next Big Cause. They've been popular for 15+ years and most problems I have with them are the sum of lots of little things.

tvwithoutpity was like an entertainment version of kiwifarms and literally drove people such as Bradley cooper into alcoholism
Please elaborate, that sounds hilarious.
Now you aren't even allowed to say you like Watermelon without certain groups being angry at you.
This is true. I hate to bring up Reddit as an example, but I got (shadow)banned numerous times just for disagreeing about irrelevant things, including RLM. The janny situation there is arguably the same as it was on 4chan before the hack.

Patreon Update:

We're currently working on another re:Visit to a forgotten 90s movie. And this time, it's gonna get steamy because we're talking about Color of Night, one of many embarrassing """""erotic""""" """"thrillers"""" that the studios puked out after the gigantic success of Basic Instinct. It's an incredibly strange and weirdly long movie with a bunch of great actors in supporting roles. Coming soon!

And watch it be with Beardfat as one of 'em discussing it... I'd laugh until the tears were streaming down my face while I shut off that friggin' video, lemme tell ya... LOL

I do really enjoy the fact that all it took to mind-break Hollywood for a few years was Sharon Stone flashing her pussy for a few frames in an otherwise-cheesy murder thriller. Nice looking snatch, too.

that episode is from way back in 2011
I didn't need to be informed of this, and I felt much better before I knew this knowledge.

Just watch old Madtv sketches and you'll find out how mean people could be about the most random shit.
Every now and then I'll go back and watch old Madtv clips from back when I was young and they constantly make racist jokes. It's weird to think how much culture has shifted that jokes like that aren't allowed at all despite being jokes.

My Pro & Con on TWoP:
On one hand, the comments moderators were capitalization fetishists to the point that failure to hit the shift key was grounds for a ban; otoh, that one time the woman recapping Gilmore Girls tore into a commenter and referred to Luke as "your tv boyfriend" to dunk on the poster warmed my black, tar-soaked heart.

part of the legacy: https://www.gofugyourself.com/
A couple of TWoP's writers went on to appraise celebrity fashion -- their entry on the Phil Spector trial was notable because of this:

I can't find the entry that went with this photo, but as I recall, it ended with something like, "my god, the buttons."

Those jokes would be labelled with the bullshit term "punching down" these days.

You aren't allowed to be honest in comedy these days.

I hate it when YouTubers talk about old movies as "forgotten." I remember this trash being on HBO/Skinemax; I never watched it because I hated Willis, but I remember March being miscast as a French girl [too old/adult, and Duras was not hapa afaik in The Lover -- the male lead was miscast also].
p.s. how could they leave out Freebie and the Bean while they listed all the director's work with the wrong poster in one case?
