It's typically an expensive enthusiast option for sports cars. You rarely see it as an option on commuter cars, because driving a standard on a shitbox in traffic isn't actually fun.
I know a bunch of 50-something women that smoke three packs a day that drive standard. It's kind of their thing.

Oh, believe you me: the amount of tax dollars propping this shit up is higher than you think.
It's not just tax dollars propping it up, it's also taxes putting ICE cars down. In recent years they have started doing this lovely thing where they raise or introduce new car taxes and then, cause they are so fucking generous, give you a tax break if you buy a EV. Fuck em. Hang em. String em up. I don't hate my politicians enough, I think I do but I don't, I never do.

Ameribros, isn't this kinda fucking huge?
If something actually happens, sure. But this is just talk right now. Yes, an EO is talk IMO until people in this country stop paying $100's for Insulin every month. Insulin price is my barometer of how much "happenings" is happening regarding our political system actually having an effect on drug prices. Because we've been told time and time again it's going to get fixed.

Well, there's the problem.

Speaking of cars, I can't get over how hard different states are trying to push electric car charger integration and how so many auto companies try to brag about how great their chargers are. Mercedes Benz boasts "our industry-leading chargers can charge your car from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes." So you get the equivalent of just over half a tank in almost a half hour? I can fill my gas car up in a minute and be on my way with better gas mileage, in a vehicle that doesn't weight 1 and a half times (or sometimes 2 times) heavier and thus destroys the roads faster (while not contributing to maintenance because no gas tax).
You know the kinda funny thing is, there IS an economically viable alternative to electric cars that doesn't require people to do much: True Hybrids.

Once again, Toyota is the smart one in this. They are ignoring the electric car dickriding and focusing on hybrids, because they see hybrids (true hybrids, not plug-ins) as the best way to reduce emissions without headaches.

The reason why True Hybrids (Prius) are selling well is because THEY ARE PRACTICAL. All you have to do to start getting better gas mileage is to just buy the fucking car and drive it. You don't have to make modifications to your infrastructure, you don't have to build energy stations, you don't have to snake a fucking 100' cord from your apartment down to the first floor to do it. It requires ZERO effort and investment on your part other than to pay for the fucking car.

The problem with progressives is that when they try to push this shit., they go fucking overboard and they DON'T THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES of the shit they push. A lot of so-called "Green" policies disproportionately hurt the poor. That dindu on Section 8 is NOT going to buy your fucking electric car. They're too busy blowing their money on Dodge Chargers while running away from the police and wrecking them.

I repeat.

EO aren't laws. While I would love to see lower prescriptions just passing an EO isn't really going to change anything.
Well bros, I'm not American, but I'm rooting for you guys. Making money of people being sick is disgusting.

I feel like if this EO passes, its an actual huge life improvement for millions of Americans, more than what most Presidents do in their whole time time there.

They’re not though. A Prius gets the same combined cycle gas mileage as any other compact car - In the last year I’ve rented a Toyota Corolla Hybrid, the Nissan Altima (CVT) and a Kia (forgotten what exactly) and for my trips they all got 45mpg +/- 1.

The only advantage you get with the Toyota is improved economy in the worst sort of stop-go traffic, but the main reason it exists is improved air quality in urban driving.

This is not worth the extra cost compared to the non-hybrids, when real EVs exist which totally solve all the problems and are better to drive.

Do people actually suggest drugs to their doctor? I have never talked to my ‘doctor about X’ in my entire life.
Back in the day, I asked about Celebrex and the doctor told me my insurance wouldn't cover it. Now, Celebrex is off the market due to causing heart problems.

Friends, do not take advertised meme drugs. Let some other sucker take the drug with the shiny happy ads for a while until after we find out what they really do. FDA testing is not enough to determine the long-term side effects of any drug. Only a term on the open market can really do that.

Plus, all of these advertised drugs are way too expensive. Wait a few years, and if it's genuinely a good drug, a cheaper generic drug will become available. Unless you're dying, then do what you need to do; all bets are off when you've got nothing to lose.

He CAN use executive means to force their hands but for the most part you're correct. What the EO does is get RFK talking with these companies and putting pressure on them. Its more of a message to these guys that Trump isn't letting this go and he will stop making their imaginary line go up if they don't comply or make a deal.

O God, is that what they’re doing now? Imagine being a landlord and watching your house burn down because of some yuppie retard with a Tesla and fire department can’t do anything because batteries can’t be extinguished readily.
