I definitely misread the mood of the thread. I laughed my ass writing my initial post but I feel like I should elaborate because it comes off mean spirited. Sorry about that.

I have worked with the mentally ill and disabled of all ages. I do not hate people with PD nor have I been diagnosed with one. I don't believe I am better than them.

Watching these kids who'd eventually become violent criminals, I can piece things together in hindsight. I think the online term is Sanpaku eyes? Their behavior was different from the other kids who suffered extreme trauma.

I fell for the lies that these people just have a trauma disorder and mean no harm. These people know how to gain your trust and manipulate you into ignoring the red flags. Seeing the injuries of their victims and the trauma they endured is soul crushing. When I tried to reason with these people they had absolutely no remorse. They laughed and bragged how they didn't care. It really is a nightmare. The ones who have real trauma are fine sometimes. But maybe I misjudged the numbers because most I met simply had no trauma and were like that since adolescence.

I still held on hope these people could live a normal life. I opened up my home and gave any resource I could. But I unknowingly ended up helping abusers gain access to more victims. I don't hate anyone and I live with the guilt for what I did everyday.

But to bring this back to Anus she is truly evil. Ian is no victim in my eyes. There's a clip a few pages back where Anisa can't even conceive of the concept of empathy. They are all like this.

While I do believe people can change with effort, I'm beginning to learn throughout the years that some people's base personality can only be shifted to a certain point. Sometimes the bad traits are just lying in wait for the wrong situation.

I've known so many people now who I thought were genuinely changing for the better, then a situation or person would enter their life and those horrible traits would return yet again (aka they never really left). The Paul brothers are one good example. People kept giving them chances and believing they were gradually learning their lesson, but then the mask would slip and you'd realize they hadn't changed one bit. I'm seeing this happen in real life too. It's a sad reality but my hope for many people improving in the long term is slipping away.

Even if it's true, telling people they are not capable of change just gives them an excuse not to. I think most people kind of have to be forced and online spaces just give to much positive reinforcement for that to really happen.


I really dislike it whenever people try to excuse their behavior with trauma, but I also dislike everyone who simply reacts to this by saying they don't have real trauma. It doesn't matter what the reason for your bad behavior is, you have to change it. I think that's where a lot of therapy people like Anisa or Ian fail. Let's say they have trauma of some kind (I don't think they do). What would that change?

From my vague recollection of the community in the past. A lot of people saw Chad as the one who was the hanger-on and mostly just there because he was friends with Max. He had the least presence outside the cancer crew and was the one who was most willing to do anything to get attention hence the moniker "anything4views". It's clear Ian and Chad had some kinda animosity from the way they interacted online and in-person. During the time when livestreaming was kicking off because of Ice Poseidon, Chad started getting in on it and I do remember him being annoyed that people constantly asked him about Ian. And part of his reaction might have to do with that.

I think it's probably a combination of Chad trying too hard to make a name for himself and maybe taking over a bit too much, Ian thinking that Chad was beneath them since he had the least amount of clout, and jealousy that Chad was taking the spotlight off of Ian. Overall though, I doubt it was like they hated each other. They probably just had different personalities and put up with one another for the sake of the content. Chad seems to have mellowed out overall and I don't think he really holds animosity, he's got a successful channel with Max so it's all water under the bridge. Ian funnily enough has regressed into a pants shitting baby, so who knows.
