Kind of, but like half of their wars involve fighting themselves, so I'm not sure if they got quite the same conquest bonerSure, if you ignore the entirety of Chinese history.
China is the size it is because they been on continous conquest against all of their neighbors whenever they're not in a civil war.Kind of, but like half of their wars involve fighting themselves, so I'm not sure if they got quite the same conquest boner

True and it's interesting how anti-war people often times are the same ones praising China for one reason or another. During the great Red-note incident where tons of Tik-tok users fled to red-note, people were gushing over how China is a seemingly hyper advanced and how "years of U.S propaganda" was "destroyed overnight". Communist China has been to war or launching occupation forces into neighboring nations for the better part of it's history. From Tibet to Vietnam and now issues potentially with Taiwan. Ukraine is so interesting to me in multiple respects but especially socially because the mess and strings of politics makes the strangest pygmy opinions I've seen. Supporting Ukraine but also supporting China. Or Supporting Ukraine, Palestine and China. Or supporting Russia, China and Palestine, etc. People were upset over Tibet when it happened but compared to Ukraine the global response was a shrug. China got away with a LOT over the last 80 years under the guise of being a developing nation. And while yes, sanctions and tariffs have been put on China in the past over their human rights abuses, compared to Russia they almost always walk away with some kind of a pass. Murdering protestors? Yeah I'll invest in your economy. Organ harvesting? Foxcon is getting my business for sure! And so it goes. I guess maybe it all chalks up to the fact that Russia isn't the world's factory.China is the size it is because they been on continous conquest against all of their neighbors whenever they're not in a civil war.
Chinese government doesn't want their residents to buy foreign brands. People are buying korean/japanese gacha games? Well they'll make their own, having Genshin Impact become international success will be a plus. Lots of kids are watching Disney movies? Well they're gonna put a stop to Mulan and Kung Fu Panda dominating cinemas by creating Ne Zha, with it's sequel becoming the highest grossing animated film in WORLD HISTORY through the domestic market alone. Not just the world's factory, nearby every western business sees China's one billion plus people as potential customers to milk for decades. Isn't until the last few years some of the started to realize those potential customers either got no money. Or if they do, are buying domestic brands not foreign brands like theirs.
You know that, I know that, but it wasn't what the Chinese government told the foreign businesses with ¥ symbols sparkling in their eyes for decades. All for the low, low price of setting up a shop in mainland China and handing over their IP.Chinese government doesn't want their residents to buy foreign brands.
'First combat use of a drone with a grenade launcher by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The pilots of the BULAVA unit mounted a grenade launcher on the Queen Hornet drone and successfully used it against enemy infantry. The video shows the elimination of a russian occupier. That moment when the occupier received an exclusive death.![]()
All these new innovations to drone technology reminds me of retro RTS games, where you unlock new units after building special buildings or researching a new technology out of a skill tree.FPV drones now with grenade launchers.

Russia and Ukraine are poised to sit down this week in Istanbul for their first high-level face-to-face talks since 2022 — a proposal presented by President Vladimir Putin to counter increasingly loud Western demands for Russia to agree to a 30-day ceasefire as a pledge toward a lasting peace.

Russia truly is the state of serfdom and nation worship, their "orthodox" church is known for venerating soldiers and communists as a part of their worship of the state, it's not even a christian religion, it may aswell be a syncretic russo-communist-duginist cult.Statue of Stalin erected in temporarily occupied Melitopol, one of few in this deathcult of a country. I reckon Russia will repair or rebuild the Lenin statues Ukraine destroyed in Kursk. Soviet Communism seen through the prism of the Putinist death cult is the only historical memory with any meaning. Tsarism is for some weirdos.

It reminds me of reading about Polish Catholic "war hymns" against the Germans c. WWII -- who the fuck has "war hymns" past the Crusades? Onward, Christian Soldiers is the only one I ever learned, but it wasn't being applied in any literal sense contemporaneously.Russia truly is the state of serfdom and nation worship, their "orthodox" church is known for venerating soldiers and communists as a part of their worship of the state, it's not even a christian religion, it may aswell be a syncretic russo-communist-duginist cult.
The population of Russia is complicit in a way that can only be described as genetic and historic rape, Russians exist to be subjugated by others and their bread and circus is memory of a time where they were still poor and oppressed but the country they lived in was larger.
It is indeed due to difference in theological doctrine. While kings of Catholic Europe had historically been obligated to be subordinate to the church, it was the opposite in Orthodox Europe. That region followed Symphonia theology, the belief that church and state must not dominate over each other, but be complementary. Byzantine and Russian emperors were likened to Judean priest-kings, that were tasked with executing both the cannon and judicial law, possessed ultimate authority over the church and were answerable only to god. Doesn't matter if you don't like communist leaders gaining tons of praise, that bombed hundreds of churches and were very explicitly atheist, the president took on the mantle of enforcing the cannon law, eradicating "degeneracy", making him a figure of divine authority, in a similar manner of a Pharaoh.Russia truly is the state of serfdom and nation worship, their "orthodox" church is known for venerating soldiers and communists as a part of their worship of the state, it's not even a christian religion, it may aswell be a syncretic russo-communist-duginist cult.
