They're literally being sued over this kind of thing. Every time they do this they incriminate themselves and it gets more and more talked about. Being very generous, I have to assume they've tried to change how the filter works and fucked it up. I bet they're using AI or some stupid shit that can't tell the difference between the reporter and the report.

As for Ruben I have no idea. He's on two platforms absolutely full of people who hate him, this was always an eventuality.

Discord staff are now resorting to desperate measures to protect predators. I knew this would happen, so hopefully Ruben has a contingency plan. In any case, he should open source the bot and host the source code on a service resilient to mass-reports. That way, people can self-host their own bots by just downloading it and setting it up themselves. Perhaps @Null could set something up with IPS to do that?

They added an AI automod to private voice chats and messages that bans you if you say naughty words (nigger, faggot, etc) but it still doesn't ban you for grooming or anything of the sort.
Funny how that works.

For years I've suspected that Discord is a front run by a literal international pedophile ring, and while this initially started as a bit of a pet conspiracy theory, the psychotic lengths the company has gone to both actively protect child abusers and knowingly facilitate the continuing of their abuse has changed it form a suspicion to something I now strongly believe.

Anyone scratching their heads at the logic of Discord's decision should assume that the people running the company are the same people Ruben is going after, because when you do this, it all starts to make a lot more sense.

I'll donate to a legal fund or PAC or whatever needs to get off the ground to finally get real attention on this issue. Social media sites, almost all of them, actively aid and abet child grooming, because their private moderation is captured by freaks or people trying to cover up the issue, and it needs to be stomped on hard. All it takes is proper moderation to solve the problem, Ruben proved that without a doubt. There should be a public safety committee with civilian oversight that regulates this shit, specifically the issue of children's communications on the internet. It's like the fucking wild west, there's absolutely nothing at all standing between between kids and predators and porn. And I guarantee in 10 years it will be generally accepted knowledge that this exact problem is what's causing most mental illness, like the tranny epidemic.

It has to be an internal troon at discord doing this. They shut down his bot, they removed his dev license and now just removed his account altogether.
It's too targeted to be just normal "moderation".

After accounts are banned, they eventually are transformed into "Deleted Account" with some random number string. Those accounts too are eventually wiped from Discord's server after a period of time, if I recall correctly, which means that if you don't manually screenshot all your DMs, evidence is actively being deleted from Discord's own servers by an automated and pre-planned process.

Based on official Discord documentation for search warrants, they are so lazy to the point that if a message or channel is deleted at all they will just pretend it doesn't exist immediately. I've even had Discord tell me to piss off despite having proof of actual CSAM being posted, going "DURR ITS DELETED SO I DUNNO IT MIGHT NOT BE TRUE!" and ending it at that.

No, those messages will still exist and still have your user ID, they will just be inaccessible to you.

All available evidence points to the messages being truly well and gone when the messages, channel, or even server is deleted. For example, the Discord API server accidentally nuked all their channels, but even though it was brought to the attention of the highest Discord employees, there was no way to recover any of the messages unless somebody happened to have them archived.

The only time Discord preserves messages is if they are served a warrant, but that relies on the offender not being tipped off first and deleting all their messages before archival can happen. Besides that, screenshots and even chat exports are (rightly or wrongly) not taken as evidence because they come from a third party and could be faked.
