They see how much short sighted money they can make off of it and go for it.
A lot of people, if given the chance will not choose to keep YouTube a sincere outlet for their thoughts and hobbies, they need to monetize it. And maximize profits from it.
honestly, i dont think its money, ive met people from all walks of life, most rich people ive met really dont like to brag about money, if anything the most they do is assume people can afford/do things they can, from their lack of experience with regular people (and its quite innocent when it does happen)
this is just clout injected straight into their vainy veins
