Also, you know if Daniel approached Bex with the suggestion of taking Hannah with him for the day - it would cause all kinds of chaos.

This is probably the biggest issue with them splitting paternity 3 ways. Daniel might want to take Hannah to do things, but he's always gonna be outnumbered. You’re not wrong, but I think Becky draws a (real, imo, if distorted) distinction between her stable studding out elsewhere, where emotional attachments are reduced or discouraged (and she’s probably convinced herself, not unwarranted, that none of them have much of a chance anyway) and any person whose involvement in their lives stand to detract from attention otherwise paid to her.
