it always bothers me to see people who would cry and berate you for just using the word retard in an otherwise well-written post, dogpile on a guy with the same low effort non-response to a stupid but legitimate question. Instead of posting "It's the company that makes xbox retard" they all do these sarcastic, almost self-righteous post that contribute nothing to the thread but I bet makes them feel intelligent for knowing who makes xbox.

Honestly his point was probably "what do company layoffs have to do with gaming as a subject?" and not "What does Microsoft have to do with gaming?" but the oh-so-smart-set in the thread didn't understand what he was trying to say.

Resetera found the huge vtuber controversy the super pedo tranny Ana Valens (I dunno if she has a kiwi farms topic but he absolutely has enough shit out there to make one) thats been going on for almost a month now.

As a gay person, its always astounded me that resetera users really want to destroy our culture by pushing this bullshit that says its normal to have sex and shit at pride, even though thats essentially limited to california. If you speak out against that you are a bigot.

Right up until someone expresses an opinion outside of the approved groupthink. You can see this in the political threads here, on any chan with a /pol/ board, and on reddit. The real cause of this is groupthink setting in and creating an environment that is hostile towards alternative thought because a few power users benefit from the approved consensus or, on anonymous boards, the approved consensus is heavily astroturfed by dedicated spergs.

That's why I'm limiting my observation to forums that only lean one way. I know I oversimplified a bit, but when was the last time you saw a A&H poster threaten to kill themselves or try to get another fired from their jobs because they disagreed about videogames?

And even you noted that shit behaviour is only really limited to the political boards here. Whereas go to ResetERA or SomethingAwful and the constant political commisaring and emotional meltdowns are the rule, not the exception, on any thread about any subject. Look how many more rules ERA has compared to KF or ONA. I've also noticed the same thing on Facebook (where there are WAY more rightoids than you might expect, the Zucc allows hilariously racist things these days). Left-wing groups have a million rules and everyone threatens to kill themselves over stupid shit. Right-wing groups just laugh at the left and their rules seem to extend to "don't be a dickhead".

My personal theory is that leftists require authority whereas rightists believe in individual responsibility, at least in their online forms. Right-wingers tend to trust each other to behave, and if you don't behave, meh, that's your problem. But leftists must get an authority figure involved, and believe that people won't behave unless corralled.

For some reason the funniest part of that was Fat4all's multiposting. Either Resetera doesn't allow for editing posts, or he deliberately did it because he thought it made his point more emphatically. I'm also willing to bet that Era frowns on multiposting, but will overlook a prominent poster doing it 'for the right reasons'.

(Less funny is how hard he went to gunt-guard for someone who demonstrably has done all the things that WhoopsieDaisy said - but it is still funny.)

They only discredit allegations when it's a fellow fag. Johnny Depp essentially became Voldemort there even after he won the lawsuit and proved Heard was the primary psycho abuser in the relationship. Johnathan Majors was legit THE VICTIM in his situation and now they bring up old allegations of him being a big meanie to keep calling him an abuser.
