I have not looked into it, but they sell themselves on being "environmentally friendly". If they actually are, the prices are not that insane, compared to other brands who claim this. However most actual ethical and/or environmentally friendly produced jeans are more expensive.
What annoys me is that at this price point, you could get slightly oversized jeans and actually get them tailored. By a small business non the less.
I hate it whenever poor people get blamed for buying fast fashion, but for some reason rich "marxist" people adopted the mantra of "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism". Since there are apparently no degrees of bad, they can just buy whatever and you are evil if you call them out.
Jeans are one of the worst garment to manufacture for the people who have to produce them and the environment. I'm not a climate-change nut. I do however think it's reasonable to criticize heavy use of chemicals.
