Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

I'm making an emergency bag, as if I wouldn't get eaten in the first 20 minutes of the zombie apocalypse.
Pretty solid pack at a reasonable price. I've got a Covert18 kitted out for similar duty that sits buried in the rear footwell in the truck. Don't get too far in the weeds when filling it up or you end up stuck in analysis paralysis and carrying 50# of shit you mostly don't need. Also, people often forget the most basic stuff like chargers and cables for mobile stuff and socks.

I bought one of those tacticool backpacks with MOLLE webbing and tricked it out with morale patches (not 5.11 though ;love their pants, but $200 for a backpack? Go fuck yourself). I now use it for my softball gear.

My bug-out bag is now my Osprey hiking bag. Has a built-in hydration bladder and takes the strain off your back.

I already got a somewhat nice hat from the Independence Day shit at walmart

and was waiting on

to be reduced from the princely sum of six bucks and change, but it's been flying off the shelves so I got one now

I just spent 760 United States Dollars on a MachineWise Serif.

Fuck yeah. Everyone should have at least one really nice knife and one good daily carry beater. You will never be in a situation where you find yourself upset that you have a knife. It’s just a net positive and boy is it an equalizer…..

Thread tax bc I have the financial willpower of a slug today - funky colored filament for 3D printing 🤪

I’m glad my house is paid for 😂

Thanks for the Unihertz update!

Tax: bought a Rainy75 mechanical keyboard, a different set of switches to try on a mission to get a good feeling keyboard that doesn't wake night shift wife.
My Tax: I got a Drop Entr w/ Holy Panda tactiles and, for the most part, love it. Has some weight, extra functionality (eg - volume control) isn't too complicated, and switches are silent and still going strong after a couple years.

An infrared thermometer with a laser pointer you can aim at stuff to see what temperature it is.
How far away from the target can you operate it and still be accurate? I used one in the early 2000s and it was absolutely hopeless any further than a couple of feet.
