The tweet about his daughter gets so much worse when you remember that she was something like 7 when he wrote it. Now, the fact that she's unfortunately biologically related to him aside, this man is not her father. He's not on the birth certificate, he has no custody, he has no say. He has never met her, she does not know who he is. Legally, this is a child his ex wife had after their divorce, nothing more. Here we see a random man openly fantasizing about the sex life of an elementary schooler he's never met and has no connection to.

The fans of this show enjoyed the hosts pranking of people and joined in as much as they could.
Eventually the show was canceled but the fans continued their antics on a Reddit subforum.

Patrick made an ill advised claim that he never found norm Macdonald funny, OnA fans heard about this so decided to troll Patrick for shits n giggles.
Patrick got their subreddit shut down.

Then the ongoing trolling war began.

Supreme Court issued an opinion on how cases of police's excessive force are to be handled. I think it might be relevant to Patrick's case. In particular they rejected the "circumstances existing at the precise time" theory that MPD relied on, and instructed that every previous interaction is to be included when considering the "totality of the circumstances” with no time limit.

It does, though, as "totality of the circumstances" now has no time limit, and every "circumstance" known to the police is to be considered. That is relevant particularly because MPD has spent all of its time arguing that the police didn't know shit, implying that were it otherwise they'd be fucked.

So basically the question we're looking at is: who is the bigger all-time liar? MPD, or Patrick Tomlinson? Now THAT'S a whopper of an ask.
My opinions on how the law should work are almost always wrong, but when I consider "the totality of circumstances" as a concept, it suggests to me: "open season", or, "let's dig up every little noodle of this fat malcontent's life and throw it at the wall and see what sticks."

He said something false and defamatory and has printed what is essentially a retraction.
