The way you say it, I feel like it's right but I can't wrap my head around it. Maybe the closest I can get is that if the government were to pay off all of its debts we'd have no leverage. But what leverage do we have over the government now when retards keep voting in representatives that'll push the debt wall back a few more trillion every time we close to hitting it? The hole only ever gets bigger - I don't understand how it's sustainable.
If you owe a lender $500k, and you can't pay it back, you have a problem.

If you owe a lender $500 million, and you can't pay it back, the lender has a problem.

There is a point where the "leverage" is too high, like now, but you definitely want to be leveraged as a nation, so that the bag holders have a vested interest in your continued existence.

You can also throw FDR and Obama into that mix, they seem to be getting more critics as the times change.
FDR and Obama are different from that. Obama surfed the wave of the collapse of the neocon Republican party caused by the bush presidency, the only time a black man could become president which during his time race grifting set the seeds to the animosity we suffer now. That's much more short term and the only change we got from him was instigating the culture war. For international affairs toppling all those middle Eastern governments has left the region worse off and really set the foundation for the European migration crisis. I was a child in 08 and began to understand the world during Obama part 2. Things only got worse from there and I think many can say the same. Young adults today live in his aftermath and now the media isn't running permanent cover.

FDR is a special case. I can honestly support a lot of his economic policies however I have to acknowledge a lot of them did more harm than good, in his defense these were cutting edge brand new ideas and after the depression id take anything than status quo. Where you stand on that would be heavily influenced by political leaning. FDR also pushed a lot of boundaries and started an executive branch arms race, a more powerful version of what trump did if you ask me where we can see benefit, abuse, and aftermath. That part is left out by many Ive noticed.
Where things get special with FDR is he was the WW2 president. WW2 is functionally the foundational myth of the modern world. As you can imagine many politically inclined people have a good reason to take a stance on one of the most important men of the time. It's telling that people are bringing FDR into question because the end result of WW2 has earned us the great replacement today.

Since we are on topic bill Clinton also falls into the same category as Obama because of his free trade policy and trump running on the antithesis of that gaining support of the blue collar people left behind, that and the rape.

Nixon is red-pilled on the jews (even though what he says was pretty much common knowledge at that time)
that's what makes him such a compelling character though, he says these things and but operation Nickel Grass saved the country of Israel, he improved relations with Israel, pushed the Soviet Union to allow refuseniks to leave the USSR, and had close Jewish advisors like Kissinger.

I've been rereading Kings and Nixon reminds me of Ahab, morally complex character who tries to do good but what's good is cloudy and there are constant influences trying to bring him down

Would have said Bill, but the cheating and his wife being Hillary seemed to have landed him in the hate category for quite some time now.

If we give you money it'll involve revoking US citizenship and a one way trip back to Africa. The people that were released from slavery already got reparations, not my fault it didn't last.

Too bad Lincoln was killed when he was, he wanted to ship Africans back from where they came from but congress said that was "mean" and we couldn't do it.

Id disagree on the grounds of I recall in 2016 i saw little mention of Bill whenever Hilary was brought up on both the pro and against side, for the cheating that was before my time when it was relevant, was it really a long term reputation sink? To my understanding it was bad for a short period of time but eventually bounced out of the media cycle. Bush also absolved Clinton with how bad the 00s were but like I said, time has had its way with the rapist

Gonna just go ahead and repeat myself here from a few pages back:
Anything that congress says or gives to the media is performative. All of it.

On the topic of Nixon, I implore anyone interested in him to listen to the Whitehouse tapes or at least find some highlights. Not only are they hilarious, they also humanize him in ways a biopic or YouTube documentary can't.

Some highlights:

Nixon is red-pilled on the jews (even though what he says was pretty much common knowledge at that time)

Nixon does an impromptu review of All-in-Family after hate-watching it and complains about faggotry in the media (nothing ever changes, really). The funny thing is he's actually tolerant of the gays, especially for the perceived standards of that time, he just hates how that sort of degeneracy was being glorified and normalized.
"I don't even want to shake hands with anyone from San Francisco"
Nixon was based, the problem is he still sent people to go die or get addicted to drugs in Vietnam.

I can't imagine that there isn't some batshit insane infighting behind the scenes at the DNC right about now. At some point a lot of those stories are going to spill out and they'll all be funny as fuck.

I mean, look. There are more efficient ways to stimulate the economy with government spending. Funneling trillions into the Fried Chicken, Jewelry, semi automatic weapon and sneakers industry just seems too narrowly focused to be effective, IMO.
