A trans man going by Sir/Prince pronouns ends her life due to the long wait times for medically assisted suicide, her post medicalization health problems piling up, and the general lack of support for disabled women with mental illness. Her friends blame society. Her age is unknown to me at this time but she died alone February 10.

Surgeon: Dr Kathy Rumer

Young MTF that underwent vaginoplasty by Dr Kathy Rumer, an infamously incompetent surgeon even among the transgender community, at Boston Children's Hospital. His incisions to the side of his neovagina experienced separation and became necrotic, resulting in three slits where his genitalia used to be. The complications were such that there were rumors of him passing away from surgical complications after a period of inactivity on his Reddit account.

I would add that I got in touch with babysoots last year-ish via Reddit DM and he said he had healed (wasn't very specific, but said that the infection was gone and the gaps filled in). So to the best of our knowledge he's alive.

The length these people will go to just to affirm and prolong their insane delusions is, quite literally, insane. And at this point, it's hard to symphatize with SRS patients that eventually suffer horrible side-effects (infections, necrosis etc.) from botched surgeries (it wasn't particularly easy to do so to begin with), because by now there have been so many cases of this type of prognosis after the procedure that it wouldn't take them much time nor effort to research into what exactly they're doing to their body and the horrible, typically chronic, debilitations that could arise from going ahead with SRS.
I, however, do not care a single tiny bit about the fetishists that decide to go ahead with these sorts of procedures, if anything, they're deserving of the (potentially) lethal complications that arise from this medically-approved genital mutilation.

Desperation and money issues. That's why you see people going to Turkey for those shitty veneers or sneaking into Mexico for gastro bypass. I remember an episode of Behind the Bastards going over SRS horror stories before the 2000's. Desperate people going to Mexico for he chop and either dying on the table or having post op complication and getting ghosted by surgeons. Guess things haven't really changed.

Also, as one particular example, Iran will only accept you as being trans if you get SRS.
