Even how it uses drone warfare doesn't stray too far from the core positions of centralised command and substitution of mass for precision. This is easily observable. Ukraine likewise remained stuck in cold war soviet doctrine until 2014, when a white paper was published recommending root and branch reform of the military to adopt western-style unit organisation, with a robust demand-based supply system and establishment of a professional NCO corps (amongst other things), but it took until this year for them to abandon some core doctrines that Russia still doggedly holds to.
