Honestly the more I learn about Billy Mitchell the more I like. He was indisputably one of the best video gamers of his generation. But he also kept that part of his life in perspective. He stopped gaming to accept the responsibility of his family business, and Ricky's hot sauce is a great American made business with a fantastic product. His social media postings have also been hilarious.

Contrast this with Jobst. His only gaming accomplishments were shit that only a message board of a few hundred people give a fuck about. He has acted like a cowardly narcissist his entire life, while actively portraying himself as the good lefty cuck.

Doesn't really work that way in Australia. You sell your assets, that goes part way toward the debts, and by being bankrupt Billy can no longer go after any further assets Karl owns. He'll have to get rid of the current account, probably shut it down, but after bankruptcy has been accepted by the state Billy Mitchell can no longer touch any earnings of Karl's post-bankruptcy.

It is a common thing here. Say if I am found negligible, I "divorce" my wife and let her take most of my assets in the settlement, I then declare bankruptcy, sell everything for pennies on the dollar (most likely to my recently "divorced" wife), use the proceeds to pay off some of the litigation costs before declaring myself bankrupt. After I am legally bankrupt no further costs can legally be recovered. I can then move back with my "divorced" wife and family as I have nowhere to go and "can't afford" rent. Sure I won't be able to take a loan for a very long time, but I can (after a period of time), remarry the wife I "divorced" who can take out loans on the shared earnings we have without my "bankruptcy" factoring into it. It is extremely common here for this to happen when somebody loses a law suit. That way you only lose some money and assets, and you have a pretty big fee from the lawyer who did this for you but it is still cheaper than paying out.

It is different if it was a matter of criminal compensation "where I commited a criminal act which caused someone damages, of person and property" because the way that works is you don't sue me. You apply to the government for criminal compensation, they pay you but the debt is on me, and no declaring bankruptcy is going to stop the tax department from taking a chunk of my pay or shared assets. You can dodge compensation from civil litigation but you can't dodge criminal compensation.

I expected this to happen, and I expect Karl to shut down his Youtube channel, only to open a new one after the bankruptcy has been accepted. Billy will only be entitled to the proceeds of the sale of assets, not to any of the actual assets, and if Karl has sold assets to family he's not married to Billy cannot touch them. Just as Billy cannot touch any business or earnings Karl undetakes post bankruptcy.
