“Hot” celebs who are not that attractive

Certain celebrities get raved about as being ridiculously attractive, but sometimes I wonder if it’s just PR promoting them that way or something because I just don’t see it.

These are my examples. I recognise that all of these people are objectively well above average, and I’d probably think they looked great if it hadn’t been shoved down our collective throats how beautiful they supposedly are.

Scarlett Johansson has smallish eyes and and upturned nose that give her a piggy look, plus she has to purse her lips to close her mouth due to her overbite.

Gal Gadot has a certain harshness to her features, I think from her beady eyes. Also her jaw is kind of square and flat. People were saying how absurd it was that she was the evil queen in Snow White and thus less attractive than Rachel Zegler, but I honestly think Zegler is prettier.

David Beckham is just so plain and has squinty little eyes. I never got the obsession over him and always wondered what I was missing. Of course, no one fancies him more than himself and he’s a complete personality vacuum which makes him even more unappealing.

There’s nothing offensive about Idris Elba’s appearance, he’s just very plain and boring and I don’t get what’s supposedly so special about him.

Which “hot” celebrities do you just not get?

Cop out answer, but most of them. It's not necessarily that they're born ugly... I don't get the way that they style celebs. The obvious plastic surgery, emphasis on sharp features, piles of makeup, distasteful perv-pandering outfits, harsh lighting, and general attitude surrounding them makes me wonder if they're  trying to make them look as witchy and uncanny as possible. Dunno how to describe it exactly but so many pictures of them end up with this eraserhead baby or lich vibe. But when you see pictures of the same people from before they made it big, or even just unstyled and doing normal things, they look completely fine, so it's not genetics. It's a weird choice that was made somewhere along the way. Maybe it's the stressful lifestyle too?

I guess it's just hardcoded in my blood or something but I find East Asian aesthetics to look better on average, though idk many of their celebs. I really prefer the stylistic emphasis on looking pretty/cute over the Western preference for a severe-looking bold "sexy" look which just comes off as grotesque or sinister a lot of the time. East Asia goes even harder on the uncanny plastic surgery however and can be more overt about the pedo stuff, so I'm not praising them either.

I think the evil of the entertainment industry leeches through celebrities' appearances. Never understood idolizing them as beauty incarnate when regular well-groomed people mog them any day just by looking more... human.

anyway for a specific answer I don't get why guys like Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt have such a big fuss made about them. I think they just look like generic guys you'd see anywhere. I guess they're fit or whatever but is that really all that?

Pete Davidson. He looks like the meth-iest methead to ever smoke meth. He's even covered in scribble doodle prison tattoos. His fame confounds me.

Chris Pratt often plays average everyman characters, like his character in the Jennifer Lawrence movie Passengers. I think that's how he got so big in Hollywood/became a leading man.

His head looks like an egg and he has no acting range. Every movie with Dwayne is just him playing himself. He only "tried" to increase his range in Be Cool where he played the Rock, but gay. Seems like a good person just don't find him or his movies particularly appealing.

He hit the wall, then took another run at it. He looks so weird and bloated with those squinty little eyes. He wasn't anything special when he was young, but he looks awful as a middle aged man.

He could be the most attractive man in the world, but with his personality he'd still be a 0. Also I think he is a little too close to his brother which creeps me out.

Maybe this is controversial; I never found Emma Watson attractive. At best she looks like a teenage girl, at worst she looks like Justin Bieber in a wig, and I think the only reason all the reddit types find her attractive is because she played Hermione, who they only found attractive because she was The Girl Character™ in the biggest series of their childhood/adolescence.
