Just doing some back of the envelope calculations on how much storage space DSP is using.

A 1 hour mp4 at 640x360 resolution is ~280 MB.

For just the DSP gaming channel, with 67,000 videos, assume (generously to DSP) that the average video is 30 minutes.

By my calculations, that's almost 9000 GB of storage. I'm trying to low-ball the calculations as much as possible. YouTube pays him $4000 a month to host at the very least 10 TB of nontent.

Still listening to the TBS stream from his morning, but I had to stop at the BEGGING system (yours for 4 installments of $25) because it's so ingenious and describes Phil to a T (rip). Whoever came up with this should get an award.
B - Bait with Guilt. Start every stream with emotional appeal.
E - Engage with crisis. Create a sense of immediate urgency. This keeps supporters on the edge of their seat—and wallets.
G - Guilt trip the quiet ones. Remind lurkers they are enjoying the content FOR FREE. Never let them forget.
G - Goal inflate. Set goals that inflate with time. Start with 50, then 100, then 150. Once you hit a goal, normalize going to the next number.
I - Insulate with loyalty. Divide your audience into true fans and trolls. Frame all criticism as jealousy or harassment to ensure only an echo chamber remains.
N - Never acknowledge excess. If you get a day with strong support, immediately talk about the next stream's goal, surprise expenses, or back taxes. KEEP THE CYCLE GOING.
G - Gaslight the past. Reframe years of similar behavior as misunderstandings. If someone questions your behavior, act like it's a one-time thing or they are making it up.

The funny thing about Gundam's new video is that he's just speaking facts about how money-hungry and pathetic DSP has become. Phil has no argument against him because everything he talked about, he then shows the viewer while the clip from Phil's stream plays. Nothing is out of context, just pure begging DSP. But of course a Phil can't accept any valid criticism so he'll get on the podcast tomorrow and whine and cope and call Gundam a no-life load loser.

* Data for hours and storage were calculated using YouTube API. ~ indicates small rounding
* costs were calculated on cold and hot (low-high) google cloud storage. Likely, it'll be a fraction of this for Google themselves, but either way the 30% superchat tarriff they put on DSP covers low end costs in most cases (superchats netted Google 720$ in August). As of writing this, DSP made 728$ in superchats in the last 7 days. That's 218.4 USD to Google at a 30% cut for those 7 days, which equals ~936 per 30 day month, guve or take. So Google still makes money off DSP as his channels die.
