Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

There might be more but holy shit I can't listen to any more of this person's voice.
It’s giving Roz from Monsters Inc vibes.

Add to that the fact that no one is watching medical dramas to learn how to place a chest tube or how to read an X-ray, it’s about the people.
I think doctors should be required to watch that one episode of House where the teenage boy patient is having kidney symptoms and is acting out/being horrible to everybody, so the doctors are bending themselves into pretzels trying to find a rare zebra diagnosis that includes both kidney issues and agitation/personality changes, only for House to realise he has a run-of-the-mill health issue and is just a naturally horrible person.

I stumbled across a totally confusing person on instagram and I wanted to ask here if anyone can debunk that they claim deafness and also "legs dont work" and they "dont know why" and they "cant go outside" - just curious if anyone else has stumbled across them: https://www.instagram.com/eliyahusucks/
Oh yes. I also watch Emma Kennedy - or Eliyahu Steinhokker (???), as she seems to go by at the moment. I nearly did a write-up on her but she really threads the line between ragebaiter and munchie. Either way, she’s a mess, with face tattoos fitting for a ”faces of meth” mugshot compilation. She still claims Downs Syndrome on Facebook, by the way.

POTS, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and cake!

Thank you mame for being my caregiver Christi Kennedy you have helped me as our acclimation into the jewish community continues to find access into the jew world

and the jew world has hamanstachen, my favorite food in the world. there are days when i could pass on matzah, but not hamanstachen. ill violate my gluten free thing just to eat hamansatachen next purim. ill take the pain.

as i get older, my disabilities set in, ive probably needed a wheelchair sooner than later. i finally got my hearng aids, my audiologist appointment is tomorrow to adjust them.

turning 23 means figuring out how to access the world.

The reason my legs don't work is for multple reasons:

Balance, pain, energy, and low bone density. My complicated birth with down syndrome made me Deaf and have cerebral palsy. And l've always had pots, last year I had a POTS flare up and went to the ER.

It's okay to be in pain. Actually, scratch that: It's NOT okay! I am not okay. It's okay to feel the emotions associated with being in pain, but pain is different from emotions. You can ignore emotions, but I cannot ignore my chronic pain.

That's my life! But l've got my friends. Eric Strimling came over and talked quantum with me! Gonna need to do that more, I'll share some of my creative food with you.

Feel free to come over to visit me since I can't make it to synagouge very often!

Sincerely,

EMMA

Ps. Thank you Grandma Bev for supplying the grant for hearing aids. They've helped me so much already!
And no, she’s not deaf. Or a pooner. Or a terf. Or a zionist. Or hindu, sicilian, reform jew, orthodox jew, hispanic, or any other identity she’s cycled through. Just a fat thumb. For added comedy, she lives with a creepy old troon (her caregiver) that she calls mom.

@Not_a_Doctor ofcourse! I have links to gofundmes that have english translations, note how they all use very similar language.

https://www.gofundme.com/f/vascular...nown&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=linktr.ee

This girl is going there in june https://www.gofundme.com/f/lifesaving-surgery-for-ilse

This woman kept getting complications in spain and ended up in the operating room 6 times. Since her return she has not posted anything, probably because the raised money and surgeries were useless https://www.gofundme.com/f/helpsavebellaherlife

https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-kik...heet&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link

All of these girls claim he “totally saved their lives” because they don't have “mals pain” anymore, but they do all still have gastroparesis, and regularly see doctors here. They seem to have a very parasocial relationship with this doctor, some talk about how they regularly text with him.
Most of them go to germany for the initial diagnosis, but those doctors have morals and don’t do these surgeries which is why they all end up in Spain.

I translated one post about complications, im not a medfag so i don’t know the severity or causes of this, but it sounds risky. Sorry if i embed the pictures in the wrong way!

Again not a medfag, but maybe someone can tell if there genuinely is a compression here? It’s a rare picture of a scan, usually they don’t post any (probably because there are no compressions).
IMG_6334.webp

Most of these girls are in and out of hospitals daily since their surgeries in spain. And often post about how doctors here don’t want to treat them because of what they did in Spain, or because they don’t find the diagnoses credible.
I think most of these girls do have issues with their stomachs, but rather because of a history of eating disorders and not because of very rare compression syndromes that they all somehow seem to have.

They are also regularly recruiting girls for this doctor. Any chronic illness account mentioning stomach pain is filled with comments from these women telling them to go to spain.

I wouldn’t be surprised if lots of other European women are going here, i just don’t have eyes in those communities.

And to add to @Spunt their point, all pictures in Malaga are very smiley, happy (except for the “i’ve just woken up in icu” photo’s). It’s one of the reasons i became suspicious, because i’d think that if you were in spain for (experimental) surgery for rare compression syndromes you would be worried and scared.

I totally agree, this person is fuckin wild. I sometimes feel like they get so deep into the oppression olympics that they lose track of how ridiculous they are sounding. I mean. Claiming downs?! WOW. I never thought I would see the day, but then again, I know theres that OF person who uses a "downs filter" which just. Thanks for that, humanity.
“Downs filter”, huh? Haven’t seen that one on Snapchat

Such gifts you bring us today @Eglantine @SaltyButter @Trifecta @pensacola @Factitious fighter Plenty to peruse while I sip my morning not-coffee. I raise my glass to you.

Those asking what in the ever loving fuck a functional paraplegic is, it’s whatever Jessie wants it to be on any given day. She can absolutely move her arms and legs. She could do the okie-kokie if she really wanted to and if she had anyone in her life to do silly dances with.

She claims that she has such super severe CCI that her head will FALL OFF if she sits up or moves. Yet she never has blood clots, doesn’t wear compression garments, sleeps on a normal mattress, doesn’t talk about anti-coagulant shots which leave a bitch of bruise and would be great for her to show off for sympathy, hasn’t ever complained about constipation, doesn’t have bed sores (particularly suspicious as Jessie claims she has to lie completely prone at all times so can’t get repositioned as you would normally with a bed-bound patient), doesn’t have any muscle contractures and so on and so on.

Here’s an interesting article on Functional Symptoms and Signs in Neurology

This one looks interesting too but it’s behind a paywall:

(Not letting me attach quotes)

Jessie's whole thing WAS going to FB with those photos and trying to get old religious women in FB groups to give her money. I think she does it solely for the money and not having to work.

I haven't checked on her in a long while, but she's taken the begging language out of her public posts, and then whines about needing money in private. She mentioned it a couple times in her recent posts.

My guess is she is broke.

Of course there are always mothers encouraging these girls to be like this. It's always older women isn't it. Their whole social capital relies on being the nurturing motherly one and the more people they can cripple for attention, the better for them.
It's better to have no mother than to have ones like this. ITT every other munchie has a enabler mother.

I think mileage varies on this one. There’s an equal number of families where it’s, ‘well you shouldn’t have climbed that should you? ‘ and zero sympathy, just a splash of iodine on grazes and a telling off for ruining yet another pair of tights.
YMMV but either way it's always women who gives their child the paranoia danger at every corner treatment.

Again not a medfag, but maybe someone can tell if there genuinely is a compression here?
As far as I can tell, this view would not be the primary view for diagnosing the compression she's claiming. She really should be showing different angles here for a more clear view of her kidneys and her arteries and veins. Better yet would probably be an intravascular ultrasound.

The whole "dislocated my hip from sitting in the car/lying in bed/other low-impact activity but it was fine" thing these girls do never ceases to make me chortle. As KFS said earlier even with EDS you have to get that shit popped back in by a professional. If you have ever dislocated a hip you know it is one of the worst pains possible to experience and even with adequate medical care the affected joint will continue to cause trouble for the rest of your life unless you're really diligent about PT and keeping those supporting muscles strong as fuck. Hips are one of the hardest joints to dislocate because they're also one of the least resilient to that kind of wear and tear. Hips are a terrible invention. Idk why god did them that way but here we are.

The thing is, a previously dislocated hip (especially WITHOUT adequate and timely medical care) does ultimately lead to some "fun" accessories as it starts to affect your gait and thereby all the joints on down your leg and ultimately an untimely-young hip replacement surgery. You could just leave it at that tbh and get all the brace accessories and even a cane if you so wished. It is simultaneously remarkable how little it takes to fuck the human body up and yet how much it's able to withstand.

It’s hilarious that in their grifter calculations they decided to “become a jew” since if you are trying to con charity and money what better group than those rich ass Jews! I’m deadly curious if some dumb ultra-liberal Jewish sect has actually works with these retards or it’s just a total LARP. (I’m guessing the latter, but maybe a liberal Jewish group doing tzedakah brings them food or some shit and they are trying hard to worm their way in the door.)

I think the strict “your mother must be a jew” line in the sand for most Jewish sects really attracts some determined nutters who hate a religion isn’t interested in converting them.

I would say the majority, but not always. I’m definitely the mom who says “stop crying, you’re fine” and my husband is running to soothe any tear with extra attention and “where does it hurt” It amazes me because this man has stiff upper lipped gruesome injuries but will act like a skinned knee on a kid is worthy of death bed level sympathy and attention. Blows my mind. But it means I’m not bothered by little boo-boos, that’s Dad’s dept.

I have noticed when my kid gets a low level boo-boo or pain, she’s likely to play it up, it’s a bit of a game. When real pain or injury happens she goes silent and hides, and that’s when I take it seriously. Real injuries and pain are not fun, and attention seeking is not a priority.

This is how you know what a game it is with munchies. Every seriously ill person I’ve ever known in hospital can maybe muster a weak, inauthentic smile to put on a brave face for others. Munchies are positively glowing and doing photo shoots in hospitals or during “10/10 pain”.

My husband had a nasty kidney stone once. He had never had one and had no idea why he was suddenly in excruciating pain. I had never seen him react to pain like this and was terrified because he’s stoic as fuck. When we got to the ER they asked him the pain scale as he’s writhing in a ball and he said 9/10. I asked him later why he only said 9 because it was definitely the worst pain he had ever experienced. He said he figured 10/10 would mean he wasn’t even coherent enough to answer a question.

Thanks to junkies that abuse the ER we had to get a x-Ray to confirm of the issue before they did anything to help, which took 2 hours. I will say once they confirmed it was a kidney stone the shots of diuladid were instant, even “do you need another?” every twenty minutes, and they wrote generous script for painkillers. They apologized for taking so long to get him relief but said ppl faking kidney stones had become very common so they had to have x-ray confirmation before giving any effective pain relief.

Read 1042 pages in 12 days. Is Null gonna send me my MSW or do I need to schedule some kind of oral defense with @Kate Farms Shill first or what... (Speaking of, I will buy you all the Sobieski you can stand if you let me. Thank you for hours upon hours upon hours of entertainment. I hope you and skinwalker are able to hang out one day. That would make me deliriously happy for some reason.)

And a dumb question, throw the whole puzzle at me for asking..but WHY DOGS AND DISNEY?! Like, taking dogs places sucks most of the time even if they're well behaved because you have to always worry about them and their needs because they're fucking alive (#freeflirty btw). Somebody mentioned it up thread, but tons of blind folks are kind of ambivalent about guide dogs because, turns out, they can be a little limiting. And Disney is barely fun when you're ambulatory/healthy, right? Because heat, crowds, assholes, screaming kids, etc.

Was it really just as simple as Jacquie getting a dog and an annual pass and having a yt channel? And the rest of them skinwalked it? Is that really all it took? It's so damn WEIRD.

Final tip, NodPods! I don’t know what these are so I had to google. Apparently they are a weighted pillow for your eyes. Doesn’t sound like a good idea to me to put additional weight on a neck that is unable to support the already significant weight of a face so round it should come with orbiting satellites. Jessie is pictured wearing said mask, along with not only her bridled tube, but a nasal cannula for full on sympathy points, snuggling some sort of stuffed toy, wearing smugness like a cheap cologne - obvious, overpowering and entirely unpleasant.
She obviously needs about 10 pairs of them to velcro together, in order for them to fit the circumference of her colossal Epcot Center Dome. She claimed in her latest story today how she dropped 47 elll beees in this latest hospital stay. I believe it dropped off other parts, and went straight to her neck and forehead.

Blonde hair eh? I wish she would break down the process of bleaching a functionally bed bound decapitated person- from the perspective of having the dye job and giving it. That word vomit would actually peak my interest, on the basis that I would love to read more of her bullshit claims. Share the secrets Jessi! especially if its getting you better treatment! She's such a lying twat.

I was in 10/10 pain once. I woke up from surgery a little bit before they were expecting. As in I hadn't quite been sewn up yet. I didn't really find the time to make Instagram posts eyefucking the camera because I was too busy thrashing around and screaming. A weakness, I know, I guess I'm not a stoic little trooper like these brave girls. Anyway I got pumped full of Fent* for my troubles.

*Fent is fucking weird. If you're pumped full of morphine you're high as a fucking kite, but fent doesn't do that, not at medical doses anyway. It just switches all the pain off. Completely. 20 minutes later I felt absolutely fine. The nurses had to stop me wandering off to the toilet and make me do it in a bottle, because I felt good to go home and wanted to pack all my things, even though less than half an hour previously I had a surgeon rooting around in my innards with a scalpel. I went home a bit later and tried to carry my bags to the car, because I felt good to do that, even though any abdominal strain would have screwed up my insides like they'd been whisked. It wore off after I got home, at which point I realised how much pain I was really in which was not fun. Really strange experience.

As far as I can tell, this view would not be the primary view for diagnosing the compression she's claiming. She really should be showing different angles here for a more clear view of her kidneys and her arteries and veins. Better yet would probably be an intravascular ultrasound.
Yeah, this is a crazy far posterior view, basically clipping the very back of the kidneys (notice how you can see the sacrum). Nothing in the body is perfectly symmetrical, so seeing a little more kidney in one side than the other is perfectly normal. This is basically equivalent to using a potato peeler on a the very edge of a veggie and calling the little slice representative of the whole veg.

Potential Paige update... Not confirmed as her, but age matches.

"Woman wins court order to refuse medical treatment and food"

"A 26-year-old woman with a history of health problems has won an order to “let nature take its course” - a move that could allow her to starve to death in hospital where she is refusing food and medical intervention.

While she and her family believe she suffers from gastroparesis, a physical condition affecting the stomach, there has never been any medical evidence that she has the condition.

Instead, she’s been diagnosed with a factitious disorder, a mental health condition in which the sufferer consciously self-induces, feigns or exaggerates physical or psychiatric symptoms to receive medical care. It cannot be treated with medication."
