Which makes me wonder, not just about this but in boxing in general, how does this work? He's taking test, which is completely understandable given his circumstances, but does that at all muddy the waters in a more traditional boxing event?
Given that CC is a "charity" boxing event and not a professional boxing thing I don't imagine the rules are the same.

I think one could argue that his use of T is of no concern because it's not being used to enhance his performance. He's not using it to beef up or pack a harder punch, his body is damaged by cancer.

This is a case of true HRT where he is literally replacing the hormone his body cannot make in normal, healthy amounts. If anything it could be considered "performance maintenance" rather than "performance enhancement" since without it he may be too unhealthy to fight at all.

I don't have any knowledge of how this would work in a true professional boxing match, but if his T levels are in a normal range for someone his age then I don't see why it would be disqualifying. I imagine that with his (or a third party's) doctor's approval and/or monitoring, it would be completely alright. I'd be very interested to hear the opinion of someone who has more knowledge on the subject or insight into how scenarios like this are handled in official settings.
