His suggestion that the city transfer ownership of the land to another private entity is barred under Art. 1, § 22 of the Nevada State Constitution:
But how could this be true, fren? Russell is one of the greatest legal minds of our generation.

You missed the best part: the Gilmans' owning the land has created a public nuisance because the Gilmans can't run a brothel, so the public is unable to enjoy a brothel in Winnemucca.

Yeah you're exactly right, I didn't even notice that.

The fact that there is no brothel is considered a public nuisance by Russell Greer. What a nut.

Once again he fails to grasp that he is the Plaintiff. He is the moving party. Defendants are allowed to pursue their own investigations.
A lawyer is also entitled to act on behalf of their client in multiple different capacities. Hardin inquiring into these issues through methods expressly provided for by state legislation does not have to do anything at all with this specific suit. It doesn't even have to be related to any discrete legal matter—Hardin could be acting in a legal capacity solely to research state public disclosure law and request information through those laws.

Greer is retarded, but as I wrote earlier when I saw Greer's supplemental filing on the Utah docket, this is really on the judge. His refusal to simply call the parties on the phone and tell them to shut the fuck up and let him rule on the pending motions is the cause of all of this.

Wtaf. I almost typed up a long post this morning and then went nah no1curr about how insane this case is. But going for Hardin is even more nuts than yesterday's filings.

Legal Kiwis, without helping Greer so tell me to STFU if needed- I assume to some degree lawyers have to deal with cranky nutcases and thus aside from being armed with knowledge to go for throats after, they aren't necessarily impacted badly career wise from false report insanity?

One would hope not anyways. That or is Russ just that fucking far off the reservation for things they usually have to deal with?

Null has repeatedly stated that Mr. Hardin is a well known Public Disclosure Law/FOIA lawyer. He could be doing it for any reason or no reason at all. Maybe the ghost of Dennis Hof has teamed up with Gilman to hire Mr. Hardin to investigate who is attempting to infringe on their territory.

God forbid the lawyer actually try and discover the truth during….. well…. Discovery. I think Greer forgets what actually happens during this stage of the trial. That or he never learned about it in the first place and his paralegal degree amounted to getting coffee for the Partners, and not actually doing any legal work.

There is an evil nasty suspicious part of me that wonders about the absurdity of that 10th decision. And the question that keeps coming up is "How much? And to which Judge or Judges Clerk?"
Some circuit courts of appeal judges let their biases cloud their legal judgment. It happens more often than you'd think. Usually it happens with big cases with political valences, but it's possible that some mixture of judge(s) and clerk(s) carried a bias against Josh into the case. I'd say a staff attorney could be part of it, too, but usually they do a rote job of sticking to the black letter law they can find. It happens on both sides, but I've seen Biden appointees do it disproportionately because they tend to be least capable and qualified, with many coming directly from a political activist group.

Hey, at least they weren't as bad as the Reagan judge who ruled that forbidding men from raping women violated the Eight Amendment.

All I'm saying is that with this prisoning attempt, Mr. Greer has wandered off into the exclusive domain of Mr. Tomlinson. Should Patrick decide to vindicate his rights, I'll cheer for him.
The crossover nobody expected but everyone wants to see happen. Yes, stalker child. I AM party to this litigation.

I don't think he forgets; if I'm remembering correctly he's never gotten this far in any of his bullshit lolsuits. He doesn't KNOW what to do here, and based on his plightsperging it looks like he thinks the correct answer is to screech at the Judge/principal until they give the poor disabled retard his way.

Good news in Winnemucca. The minutes for the May 6th meeting should be published soon as they were on the consent calendar for approval in today's City Council meeting.

I wish I had time to call in to see if it was approved instead of just noticing it now.

Discovery is stayed
Hold it, you mean Mr. Hardin is violating the order of the court by trying to discover things when there's no discovery? (This is a joke, this is only a joke.)

On reread, this:

reminded me of the way Greer tried to get his dad and brother to refuse to cooperate with the subpoenas. Somebody should remind Greer not to do stuff like that (not that there's a subpoena in play at this time, that we know of).
I guarantee that today's diary entry is due to a very uncomfortable conversation Russ had with Waylon Huber about why a lawyer is submitting public records requests concerning him.
