Some further thoughts, after watching the council meeting.

Russ insisted to the Utah court that he had a last minute business meeting, which was false; it was a regularly scheduled city council meeting. Then in email to Hardin once that meeting was uncovered, he insisted there was also a business meeting to attend separate from the council.

However, we now know that Huber was never going to be there, even though Russ acted like he was supposed to show up. Russ also wasn't meeting the owner of the Scott Shady, because he had brushed off Russ back in March. So who was this separate meeting with? Did Russ just invent it so he didn't have to admit to Hardin "you found everything out"?

The only thing I can think of is at the end, Russ picks up a piece of paper and says he just got a phone number for the Gilmans. He claims he's going to try to contact them again to sell, since the council doesn't want to expand the AE district. This sounds and looks like a new development, so maybe it came out of whatever he called a "meeting". But I have a hard time believing he physically met with somebody just to get someone else's phone number. Maybe he just drove by the plot and saw a sign with their contact info on it.

So we're at 1 confirmed court lie, and 1 probable lie to Hardin trying to cover up the first.

I've had a similar job and there was literally a "death threat" a day and generally just ignored it because it was from a retard. I have zero sympathy for morons who deliberately provoke people and then complain about "death threats" when they literally aren't.

Welcome to the Intertard where retards can routinely make impotent and unbelievable death threats and get laughed at.

I would argue, in today's world, one can't really take such things so lightly as they could in previous decades.

These days someone is likely to show up to a small town council meeting and start spraying with a fully automatic.

The answer to all of this can be summed up by the title of one of his rockstar emails: Re: Fraud upon the court?

"Whew clerk, what a week."
"Your Honor, it's Wednesday."

I like the idea, but having gotten literally hundreds of "death threats," meaning retards uttering technical threats that weren't even remotely believable, I just ignore such "threats" and they don't even interest me other than I usually find them amusing.

I have had plenty of people threaten to kill me. Number of police threats are about two, on the very rare occasion they were actually plausible threats.

Since Mr. Hardin has elected to act on the information I provided to him, I will reveal the relevant parts in full. Apologies to everyone for the wait.

Mr. Huber has confessed to me that his own involvement with Greer was news to him. Specifically he mentioned that he is now "finding out quite a bit about Mr Greer" and that he was lied to by Greer, though he used the following phrase to describe it: "different opinion on the subject of our dealings.

Further, he fears this may cause him serious problems in the future.

While Mr. Huber did not accept my invitation to cloak the information I wanted to reveal, I still elected to only describe it here. Mr. Hardin, on the other hand, has been provided with true and correct copies of the relevant exchange.

There is more to the matter that I do not wish to reveal yet, should Mr. Hardin wish to use that further.
... I'm guessing it went something like this:

He talked to Huber for like 5 minutes

Huber was nice and polite (as a businessman would be) and probably tried to be encouraging to get him out of his office and out of spittle range

And Greer decided that meant he had a billionaire investor willing to buy him a whorehouse with free whores for life, and never followed up on any of that because why would he? He has what he wants and of COURSE people are gonna give him what he wants, he's Russel and his mommy says he's special.

Rusty has a long history of taking societal courtesy and boilerplate platitudes as endorsements of his harebrained schemes.

And we're not even through discovery

I don't know how many hundreds we're due before the next hearing, or how many thousands Russ will have due to Josh. But every metric repeats the lesson of this case: the legal system is more retarded than the average person could possibly imagine.

Greer is of those lolcows who dispenses fresh milk in bursts. Takes him awhile to save up a new spurt, but it's always worth the wait.

You're welcome, btw, for that disturbing imagery. Moo. :story:
Watching today play out in real time was a gusher. It was bar none the most compelling thread ever on this site just for the day. The only thing close was Rekeita's arrest. But this was like a group of true lolcow masters playing one of those weird collectable card games via filings. PokeMagicHub or some shit. Finally ending with the Judge going all Judge Dredd. The twists, the turns, the sudden reversals. then Boom Bitches! Thermonuclear Red Text.

after reading the transcript, i would just like to point out that (as we already know) russell greer is still a lying liar who lies.

he tells the court that "i was listing every person i had talked to -- i thought i explained this in my response. i had explained that i had listed every person i had talked to about who would testify. [ ... ]"

but he didn't; he only listed two supposed witnesses, with the identities of "more witnesses" left intentionally vague. he also most assuredly never "explained" anything about "every person [he] talked to"; not in a single filing. he simply ranted and raved about how he did comply with the discovery requests for witnesses (which he didn't, as he failed to provide addresses or information regarding the witness' testimony), and if he didn't comply, it was because he was justified in not doing so due to kiwi farms-adjacent hardships.

however, i'd like to remind the thread of the oft-cited ecf 123 at 15:

we know that greer's father (and brother) want nothing to do with this case, and we know that steve taylor is deceased, but greer never mentions the "more witnesses that will be called and summoned for a trial" again. of course, he couldn't do that now anyway, after stipulating to no further witnesses or testimony, but it's amazing that he would lie so brazenly when asked a direct question by the magistrate about his witness shenanigans.

i anticipate heavy sanctions regarding the deceptions that brought this case back to utah. when greer files a motion to stay and/or reconsider, i hope that mr. hardin subtly reminds judge bennett that it was his court, not the florida court, that accepted greer's arguments for the re-transfer to utah for the convenience of greer's supposed witnesses. i also hope that he points out that thus far, not only is one of those witnesses deceased, but based on further information, of the only other witnesses that were subpoenaed prior to the stipulation, one lives in nevada (greer), one lives in wyoming (his father), and one lives in texas (his brother), thus utah would have been no more convenient to the witnesses than any other state in the continental u.s.

Hardin is firing bullets into the still-twitching corpse of Russell's case.

Mr. Huber has confessed to me that his own involvement with Greer was news to him. Specifically he mentioned that he is now "finding out quite a bit about Mr Greer" and that he was lied to by Greer, though he used the following phrase to describe it: "different opinion on the subject of our dealings.

So first, I'm following Fatal Walter's reading of Russell's seminal work, Why I Sued Taylor Swift. In that book, Russell goes on about Taylor misrepresenting herself. I find it ironic that he's misrepresenting himself to Mr. Huber.

I find it even more ironic given how he bitched about that Christian group that purchased, and then demolished, Dennis Hof's brothel. As I recall, he mentioned that the Christians misrepresented themselves to purchase the brothel. I'm fairly certain they didn't lie, and Hof's heirs were likely glad to rid themselves of the property. Russell, on the other hand, misrepresented himself and lied to Huber about his intentions. Quite hypocritical; lying is not a good way to do business, Rusty!

I don't get why he paid the filing fee, to me it seems like him not paying for it and getting dismissed is the easiest way out of the hole he dug. I know at this point he couldn't have voluntarily dropped it without nulls consent and null stated he would counter sue over it if he tried. It being dropped for non payment seems like it would leave him where he would only be liable for the sanctions that have accrued and it be unlikely that the court would pursue anything further if he just fucked off. It might still leave him open to counter suing but at that point it seems like him being the poor ifp defendent representing himself would go over better with a judge and jury than him being the plantiff.
You fundamentally misunderstand why he filed the lolsuit to begin with. Copyright is just an excuse. Russell is trying to remove all negative information about himself from the Internet. This necessarily means removing his Kiwi Farms thread. At this point, Russ has been pissing in Josh's beer for more than five years, and Josh is no longer feeling merciful. If he had dropped the case back when Skordas got it dismissed, that probably would've been that. There is now a very real possibility, given his conduct, that Hardin and Josh will not only go after him for sanctions, but also to get him labeled a vexatious litigant- and being labeled vexatious strips him of one of his best weapons: discrimination lawsuits.

Russ likely views himself as being too deep to pull out now- in his mind, this is his one and only chance to get his history of misconduct removed from the Internet and build his dream brothel. He's also aware (albeit dimly) that Hardin's filings are laying the groundwork to getting him declared vexatious, and if that goes through he can't sue people (he's threatening to sue Winnemucca in the main thread because they won't let him have his brothel.)

TLDR: There's a point Russell should've stopped, and he's clearly passed it, so he'll keep going and see what happens.

No - look what we learned from the hearing video. Russ thought the council meeting was the culmination of years of work; he think's he's winning! Both the case and the whorehouse negotiations.

He honestly thought before the meeting that he was closer than he's ever been - and I think he still thinks that.

Same with the case, he paid the fees and filing because he's going to win! It's just a step on the way to victory.

He is incapable of realizing that MAYBE he is not winning - any reply or even ignoring him is a win unless it EXPLICITLY tells him to go fuck off.
