Lupron and all the analogous drugs are notorious for bad side effects. They’re used (and approved for) prostate cancer but they are discontinued at a high rate because the side effects are intolerable, even to men dying of prostate cancer. They do increase risk of dementia.

That’s one of six articles, each packed with more rabbit holes to go down. the focus is more on kids and paediatrics but it’s all there. Lupron has a controversial history - it’s always been a drug in search of an indication, and it’s been marketed (illegally) for all sorts of stuff. The makers were fined what I think was the biggest fine in history at the time for it.
I quote; Men, told they otherwise would face treatment for prostate cancer by either castration or DES (and potentially experience gynecomastia and adverse cardiovascular effects) were ‘encouraged’ to use this drug. A survey of urologists revealed that 53% did not believe in the efficacy of GnRHa treatment but still prescribed it.
The history of lupron’s marketing and pushing on any field they could get it into is like a textbook distillation of how evil pharma can be.

I don’t think that I can really pinpoint a specific moment where I first thought “fuck tranny bullshit,” but reading about the actual history and effects of “puberty blockers” was definitely a huge eye opener for me. The ones whose teeth and spines crumbled because they used them for 3-6 months when they were ten occupied my nightmares for years afterwards. 3-6 months is often the max time for the cancer patients due to the effects as well.

Yet “trans kids” are on these for years before it’s decided it’s time to give them “HRT.” When I was compiling the Hall of Shame thread, I noticed that many of the rotpocket patients with the worst results were the ones with puberty blocked penises. Coincidence?

But it’s magically a-okay because they’re *trans!*

It might fit but it'd give normies a lot more pause. And parents would start looking closer both into the drugs and into the suicide stats. So far, any closer scrutiny of medical troonery has resulted in immediate tightening of laws around it, even in the world's most liberal countries like Scandinavia.

This woman got top surgery at 15 years old.

You wouldn’t give a 15 year old breast implants, and most surgeons will hesitate to reduce her breasts even if they’re so large that they reduce her quality of life. Yet someone could butcher this girl no problemo due to “muh gender dysphoria?” Barbaric even before you see the actual results.

I do wonder how much of that deformity is from almost ten years of body growth and weight gain, since many pooners gain and develop deformed breasts after top surgery. But this is still a great example of one of the many good reasons why one shouldn’t chop off a minor’s breasts.

Don't know her that well since I only talked to her the one time, but I've met a woman who got chopped at 15 and later grew to regret transitioning. She said that while she was having mental health struggles, her hesitant parents were berated by doctors and therapists saying that she'd literally die without transition. Those same professionals gave her the push to do surgery even though she said she wasn't actually sure about it; they just kept presenting it like it's the only logical next step after hormones and it was a pattern of stringing her along with "bro just one more intervention and you'll finally love yourself".

She is fortunate to have stopped and to look/sound like a normal but very flat-chested woman from an outside perspective, although she said that she still experiences significant physical pain from the aftermath of the surgery (I obviously didn't pry for details). It seems like she will always have remnant chronic health issues but can live a good life now that she's found her way out, she hopes to get well enough to have kids someday. There were a lot of people in the room of all ages supporting her for speaking out. Some random old dude started tearing up about how he's running for governor and he's going to advocate for preventing her experience lol

Well the logic is that at some point during adolescence your growth plates in your long bones fuse and your height growth mostly stops.

So the idea is that if they postpone puberty, your long bones won't fuse and you'll keep growing.

It's solid reasoning except the side effects of Lupron are so absurdly harmful that they really need to go back to the drawing board. It sounds like outright castration for the guys with testicular cancer might legit be a better quality of life than the crumbling bones you get with lupron. (Let alone just being a short kid or precocious puberty, albeit the latter's a bit more complicated.)
