I don't think the guy has ever had a girlfriend, and the only social photos ever seen of Jake are with his mom and her friends. He probably had one or two IRL friends related to his D&D and RPG bullshit, but I don't even think those few souls have been around in more than a decade. Even leaving aside the "Imma wymynz on the inside" bullshit, Jake writes as though he's a teen/young adult who has no choice but to live at home. It must have been very jarring for those who had that image of him in mind to reconcile that whining with the 35 year old man they encountered in real life.

I suspect his mother is well aware of how crazy Jake is. You don't just let your child stay at home and expect absolutely nothing of them unless you're well aware that they could never survive independently of you, and Jake isn't the kind of crazy which can be hidden in certain environments. You are probably right, the irony being that no amount of of e-begging money will turn him into his mythical online creation SGG. SGG the most important thing in Jake's sad life, but it will always remain a total fantasy.

I always thought if he did a e-beg campaign it would either be "help me escape my dangerous transphobic living situation" or "my hormones and documents" - the problem is that e-begging campaigns do incur scrutiny (and require a bank account) and if anyone would trumpet the fact Jake is a 34 year old basement dweller living with mom, all sympathy goes out the window. Campaigns for "safe living" and such are for teenagers and very young adults living trying to escape from abusive homes - not lazy 34 year old cows living with mom spending all their spare time on twitter and playing games.
