“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.” -J.R.R Tolkien

There's a very whiplash feeling where you read J.R.R Tolkien being very sombre and circumspect about the war and Ernst Jünger LOVING how fucked up he got in the war.

“Even if ten out of twelve men had fallen, the two survivors would surely meet over a glass on their first evening off, and drink a silent toast to their comrades, and jestingly talk over their shared experiences. There was in these men a quality of both emphasized the savagery of war and transfigured it at the same time: an objective relish for danger, the chevaleresque urge to prevail in battle.”

“I supposed I'd been hit in the heart, but the prospect of death neither hurt nor frightened me. As I fell, I saw the smooth, white pebbles in the muddy road; their arrangement made sense, it was as necessary as that of the stars, and certainly great wisdom was hidden in it. That concerned me, and mattered more than the slaughter that was going on all round me.”

“Leaving out trifles such as ricochets and grazes, I was hit at least fourteen times, these being five bullets, two shell splinters, one shrapnel ball, four hand-grenade splinters and two bullet splinters, which, with entry and exit wounds, left me an even twenty scars.”

no thanks to that faggot Massie

"Just trust me bro" but I have a DC contact who met the some senators recently. Said that Ted Cruz is bitter about Trump and does not like his economic plan.

Thom Tilis is also a staunch anti-Trump RINO against the BBB but the only reason why they don't protest is they lack support and want to save their seats.
Tillis needs to be primaried and thrown out of NC. No complaints about Ted Budd.

If you live in these states, write their offices and tell them to support it.

If we are to dig out of the hole, we need to grow. That means spending money to create shit. That also adds value to the country and makes the debt smaller. Leverage my guy.

Honestly Thomas massie seems like yet another libertarian corporate dick sucker.

The paranoid schizophrenic in me says this has been done to all ow Dugan to plead jury contamination and walk away scott free,
Maybe. I'm still in awe watching someone essentially throw their entire career for not only someone who can't pronounce your name and won't remember you 10 minutes from now but also a wifebeater.

the federal budget, the stock market, the value of precious metals. these are all just imaginary numbers written down somewhere that have little connection to reality. if we're going to spend fake money might as well spend it on cool shit like the Golden Dome

other countries didn't cash out their monopoly money and crash the US economy when Trump was reaming them with tariffs. nobody actually wants the game to end

It's not about spending money, it's about getting the boot off the necks of manufacturers and producers and new blood entrepreneurs. If the projected deficit goes up because we're cutting taxes while simultaneously moving toward reducing spending I'm not going to complain. American ingenuity is the only way to balance those books and the people estimating the cost of the bill won't take that into account.

If someone who's actually read the bill highlights could weigh in, did spending get cut? And I mean year over year spending, not a cut to the "growth" of spending.

Well yeah. That is what im getting at. Deficit go up, yes. You can't cut taxes without the deficit raising because that means the government is now taking in less cash. But if manufacturing and everything else goes up across the board, it balances out. New value is being added to the country, more money is in peoples pockets, and while the debt is still high, the worth of the country as a whole is now higher than the debt. The math is more than subtraction despite what Freedom Cacaus would like to think.
