It's actually very simple when you break it down. Ian has for several years been conducting himself to a weird struggle session that nobody actually asked him to do (except Anisa of course). I'm sure you've noticed how bizarre all his talk about his previous fans or previous content is? He keeps saying it was hateful and mean rather than simply calling out bad people for doing bad things (unlike his Content Cop on h3 which is actually hateful and mean) and rationalizes in a million different completely nonsensical ways how everything he ever did was terrible and awful. That's because he was an incel (though he didn't lean into incel rhetoric).

Every time Ian throws this word out (and it's the only word he ever throws out because he is creatively bankrupt), he's fighting against himself. He has such deep internalized shame over actually being popular at one point, because Anisa has broken him down for their entire relationship, that the only thing he can find himself to say when he is owned is "incel" because that's all he sees himself as.
