These statues are bait.
1. It would normalize the left's destroying American statues. It would make it retroactively "ok."
2. It would give Trump a PR mess to deal with: Right wing terrorists destroying "art" of the sacred cow of the left: Fat ugly black women.
3. It would give the media a fake excuse to push the upcoming summer of love as a "natural response to right wing terror squads on the street" or somesuch bullshit.
Best thing you can do to that statue would be to paint it up like the Joker with Acryllic paint that's easily removed one night, and put a monkey costume on it the next, and a fumigation tent so it's not visible the next. Do this over and over again until they have to remove it becuase it's too big of a pain in the ass otherwise. But whatever you do, don't destroy it. Don't take the bait.
