Two Israeli Embassy staff members were shot and killed during an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night, authorities confirmed.

Tal Naim Cohen, a spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in the capital, confirmed to Fox News that two diplomats were shot "at close range" during a Jewish event at the museum. The American Jewish Committee confirmed it was hosting the event in a post on X.

"We have full faith in law enforcement authorities on both the local and federal levels to apprehend the shooter and protect Israel’s representatives and Jewish communities throughout the United States," Cohen said.

Fox News confirmed a man and a woman were both killed in the shooting. Further details on their identities were not immediately available.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said DHS is "actively investigating" the incident and "working to get more information to share."

"Please pray for the families of the victims. We will bring this depraved perpetrator to justice," Noem wrote on X.

The Metropolitan Police Department said a shooting investigation was underway near 3rd Street and F Street Northwest, which is where the Capital Jewish Museum is located.

Danny Danon, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, said an event was taking place at the museum and the deadly shooting was a "depraved act of anti-Semitic(sic) terrorism" in a statement posted to X late Wednesday night.

"Harming diplomats and the Jewish community is crossing a red line. We are confident that the US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal act. Israel will continue to act resolutely to protect its citizens and representatives – everywhere in the world," he wrote.


Fox News Digital has reached out to DC police, the Israeli embassy and the Capital Jewish Museum.

It's very difficult to carry around a shotgun and hide it, especially for these types. It's heavier and more unwieldy. It's harder to get rid of it. If you modify it for concealment, just owning it is a serious felony. It often will carry less ammunition than a handgun and be harder to quickly reload. If it was such a good idea, even 80 IQ gangbangers in the city would have thought of primarily using shotguns to shoot up their enemies.

That's a thing associated with "Urban Globalist *Intellectual* Jews" who often work white-collar "jobs" or, may Allah forgive me, "journalism". In Israel, a crap-ton of land cultivation and development was performed by secular (or at least non-Haredi) Jews. I mean, infrastructure in Israel may not be as good as nicer parts of Europe/North America, but it's orders of magnitude above the rest of the MENA (Gulf States are catching up, but that's very recent and they rely on more or less slave labor). Israelis seem driven to build something resembling a functioning state which is unfortunately less apparent in North American/European Jews...

The guy you are replying to either is a troll or a retard (he is banned from the Gaza war thread for a reason). But the infrastructure in Israel I would say is comparable to Europe, do they have bullet trains? No not yet. The issue with Israel is a) politically (domestically) it is a nightmare, so things take a long time to build, but when they are built they are safe, modern and neither you nor your workers will die. I will give two caveats: Israel, unlike the USA isn't clean. I don't mean there is shit on the street or filth like India, more so, there I a lot of grafitee. Most of it is religious in nature, but many urban parts look like a bunch of artists moved in and turned the buildings into a canvas/the religious like to write religious stuff on the walls, again not exactly dirty but not exactly "Asia" level spotless either. The second caveat is that the arab sections are, infrastructure-wise, very unsafe. The government built stuff (roads, government buildings, public schools etc) are fine, its just instead of getting proper permits they just hire their cousin to build a whole wing of their home and that shit most likely is not up to code. Furthermore, the Arab areas are actually dirty. Like trash on the street type shit. It's fucking trashy. For people who care about the land they suppositivly love so much they treat it like shit. The Jews and the mega zionists the most I can say is that they really love to plaster everything with stickers and poster paper.

Regardless, refugees are a byproduct of every single war in existence and population transfers were commonplace following both world wars, as empires fell and states formed in their place.

While I don’t condone whatever amount of forcible expulsion may have taken place by the Israeli army in 1948, you should know that the vast amount of Arabs left voluntarily at the advice of the invading Arab armies, thinking they could come back after they won the war.

Yeah, I was trying to keep my reply brief and ended up over-simplifying (apologies). I was specifically thinking about the wiring and garbage collection/litter situation (which seems to vary by location). I will admit my understanding of infrastructure in Israel comes from speaking with Israelis and a funny series of vlogs Ethan and Hila Klein made back when they were fun (linked below at specific time):


Specifically, this is worse than what you'll find in the USA, but that neighborhood (Florentine?) seems to be unusually bad for Israel. I guess a more nuanced take is that on average, Israeli infrastructure is about the same as Europe/North America, but has a larger standard deviation. Even then, it's an apples to oranges situation given urban/rural divides, how "easy" new construction can be done (Israel has the whole archaeology/ancient history thing which makes even trying to dig a pool a red-tape nightmare), etc.
