Ethan said the original style was extremely time consuming, super exhaustive on coming up with ideas, took hours and hours of research and planning. Exhaustive editing. That he held his main channel to a standard (it shows. Even if you don’t like the content on the main channel you can tell he did try his best)

He said it was just too intense to rely on that kind of intense content creation as a living.

It was like 2018 or something like that he said he started to resent his channel because it demanded so much from him to constantly be cranking out quality videos to survive.

which was a feedback loop of negativity because resenting the channel for all the effort he had to put in to maintain it - affected the effort itself.

Also it didn’t pay as much for a lot more effort and in his older age he just didn’t feel that creative anymore.

Then he started the podcast. Which he ADMITS he treated like his 9-5.

He made more money. The content was way easier to crank out. He got a crew. He turned it into a sustainable employment to support his family while still getting to do something he loved. Create content on the internet.

I doubt they're broke, like normal person broke. They seem to have some assets, but they haven't had any significant income coming in for years. There's no way their income is covering their expenditures. If your social circle is all influencers with money, being on any sort of budget probably feels like being "poor" to them (or to Anisa, since Ian's primary use is to provide for the lifestyle she wants). Any savings they have has been slowly draining for years, with nothing to replace it.

Personally, I'm hoping for a Shanny and Rev arc. No kids will be involved, so the drama will be funnier.
