TL;DR: Convicted sex offender lucks out, comes out of prison and makes something of himself after having his sentence for vile crimes slashed. Creates a business, using registrations done by family members. However ends up coming undone because of narciscissitic behaviours, abusing customers and other things. How We Got Here: Let's not Fuck with Louis Rossmann
Pissing Off Louis Rossman and the Repair Community in 2024
Approximately 1 year ago, Rossmann did a video on BwE. He called out the practices of BWE / aka "Louie" where he applied seemingly arbitrary bans on paid users of his software, including unusual or otherwise worrying invasions of privacy. He articulates it all through his video:This is informative & unfortunate; BwE Bans Legit Customers of repair software with NO REFUND!
In short, if you did anything the author didn't like - things that would be pretty normal if you ran a legitimate repair shop (i.e. running repair software on a dedicated laptop, versus your day-driver laptop) or had other tools on there, such as IDA? You'd get banned. No refunds, no appeal. no real justice for users.
A Year Later, The Hammer Drops
TheCod3r, a console repairer shared a story about Uber Micro Repairs - who purchased a copy of BWE's software to do his work repairing consoles. In this video, it was revealed that BWE had decided that because UMR had not used his laptop for repairing a playstation in a while, that was grounds to void the licence. A re-upload of the video discussing this is here.This put it back on the radar of Louis Rossman, who comes out swinging - armed with the messages between BWE and UMR. He shared this video where a year after his first, he comes back, and outs "Louie". First he shares messages, providing all of the evidence that BwE was arbitrarily depriving paid users of repair software they paid for, but also upon inspection, he found that "Louie" had a background, and seems to have done time for Child Exploitation.
So, Who is BwE / Better Way Electronics
The Website

Rossmann appears to have identified that that the operator of BwE was using an Australian ABN (ABN 63 008 860 471) that was operated by Luan Tahiraj, now going by the name Louie Tahiri. After a few years of absence, they changed their name. Strange, eh?Criminal History
Conviction in 2013
This is something of a rough read: "Brisbane Court Jails Man for 12 Years over Internet Sex Offences". Tahiraj was 24 in 2013 at the time of the article so would be 36/37 now in 2025. Convicted for hacking childrens computers, making them defile themselves using other webcam images as blackmail, so he could share the videos to boast to his friends.Appeal & Slashed Sentence - A Failure of Justice
In 2015, the courts reviewed his sentence - apparently sexually blackmailing underage girls didn't deserve a 12 year stint. The judge reduced his sentence substantially , whilst recapping the crimes concisely.Tracking Down the Other Actors
