So I asked a friend of mine who's a psychiatrist about Ian, and this is what he told me (and stressed this is not medical advice but just given off the cuff when I got beers with him). Generally SSRIs when prescribed correctly (aka not given out like candy) are safe and well studied, they are given out for various things (Anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, etc). However, the goal is the proscribe the minium necessary to get you "over that hump". This is because the goal of these meds aren't to solve the issue (because for most things they can't but they can get you 85% of the way there) but bring you to a mental state where therapy and other methods/other coping techniques can actually do their job.- Aka: they're not like antibiotics, which will cure the problem, but more like how aspirin is given after you've had a stroke, they will help, but you still need to do other non-pharmacological things to lower your risk profile (healthy eating, working out, etc). The issue he said is that unlike most forms of medicine you can't "culture" the brain like you would for a bactiral infection; instead you have to rely on the patient themselves to tell you what is wrong (and what you were trained to do of course). He said the issue he sometimes see's is that people don't realize that the "meh"/"mid" feeling doesn't mean it is working, it means that you have been proscribed too high a dose and it needs to be brought back a bit. He told me that people's lives could be falling apart and their reaction is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or that glassy look Ian has. But he told me that ideal treatment is him working in tandum with a therapist. However, what happens is that now basic nurses/pharmacists can prescribe SSRIs in some states (plus the explosion of online drs that will write you a script for anything) there is an explosion of over use just like how ritllin was in the 1990s. He also has told me that often times men or woman will come in and say "my husband/wife is telling me I am still acting crazy and I need to up my dose" or "it's not working doctor I still am having symptoms (my wife/husband tells me so)" and some places will just up the dose no questions asked. On the sex stuff, he told me it can happen, but a complete loss of sex drive (and being ok with in assuming you have not always been that way), is a sign you are being prescribed too much. to quote him "SSRIs don't make your dick soft, they make you take longer to cum" Normally they write a script for viagra or whatever, but he said that's to get the guys mind out of that state "and think their dick now works" (because a lot of sex performance is mental). He did note that sometimes a lack of initiation occurs from the SSRI taker, but if the partner does the initiation, under a proper dose, they still will become sexually aroused. Also there is a decrease in masturbation but he ties that back to the initiation thing. He is drugged out on SSRI, and it wouldn’t surprise me if his sex drive is as dead as their bedroom.
those videos are actually funny, too, and he doesnt have to use the slur-heavy "2016 humor" that Ian resents so much, proving you can be funny without it and Ian has no excuse for becoming so bland and unfunny ever since he "matured".I think the biggest clue to this are the plummcorp videos. For anyone not in the know, plummcorp is a label owned by Joji and they're the ones who released the Dracula Flow series of videos. Which is just an old man dressed as Dracula rapping lyrics with esoteric scifi and mysticism references mixed with generic rap tropes.
That style of humor is 100% in line with old Filthy Frank. I have no doubt that Joji wrote most of those lines and I'm pretty sure you can even hear him laugh in the background of those videos. I think the old Frank is still there, I just think he grew up (actually grew up, not like Ian "Empathy at 32") and realized what he actually wanted and pivoted to music.
Just look at who throws it around too. Anus, kaceytron, denims, frogan the hut. All freaksits so crazy to me how lefties have been throwing out the word incel as an insult for years, with the implication being "you dont have sex, so your opinion is meaningless."
In danger of sounding sexist, it’s a very female thing to do and therapy brain makes men act like that.@Spirit Dog It’s like dude. We get it. If you hate ethan just say it. This weird I hate Ethan and that’s the most rational view because I am unbiased thing he’s doing is annoying and cowardly.
He’s acting like a jilted lover (in a way the death of a friendship is the end of a significant relationship) but instead of telling close friends over a few beers what a bitch Ethan is he’s set out on a course to make the entire world think Ethan is a monster and that they need to hate him too like a teenage girl would.
I think you touched on something. I don't think Ian values... Anything. Anything at all, except his ability to do what he wants. Like a literal toddler. The irony of Ian clearly having this mentality (through his actions), then trying to claim he doesn't value Anisa's nudes being online because there's nothing special about her or her photos. He both values her too much (to the point of ruining himself) and too little (claiming it's totally fine for her to show other men her nude photos because "it's just a pussy, dude").
Anisa and her husband, plus basically all of breadtube, are anti-left propaganda. Prove me wrongSince this is the KF, I'm not scared to say I'm on the left side of politics in general but I hate all of the people implicated in this. Especially Anisa. So fucking annoying and detrimental to my ideology.
Gokanaru acts like that because he wants to be seen as smart, and you are generally perceived smarter by a majority if you can make an argument for the both sides. That's it, works for the boys, the girls and whatever trendy gender you can call yourself, if you want to signal to the world how smart you are, that's the easiest way, and people tend to do it all the time with almost zero push back. Thousands of "Both sides are bad" posts are being scrolled over every second, usually even if you don't agree or kinda agree, it isn't amusing enough to join these discussions. In danger of sounding sexist, it’s a very female thing to do and therapy brain makes men act like that.

He’s stupidly picked a man whose superpower is pettiness and is giving back far more than what is thrown at him.
Not to agree with Anisa, but every crew of day laborers I've ever seen seemed way happier than your average retail employee. This is because unlike Anisa, they're grateful to have escaped the 3rd world hellhole that spawned them, they've got friends and family who love them, and they're part of a culture that welcomes them (that being illegal immigrants). They're also very funny in my experience, they love nothing more than passing the time with playful banter or racial humor. They're happy in spite of their poverty, not because of it. Anisa is in for a rude awakening if she thinks the true path to happiness is being a penniless version of her current self. The audacity to post this shit as the stay-at-home wife of youtuber…
100% the “happiest people shes met” were fucking laughing hispanic men working in food service or some other jolly proletariat minority she’s romanticized into a Buddha figure.
I wouldn't say it's anti-left propoganda moreso a misguided attempt, mixed with a parasocial animosity of the times. Money is always the background factor with these people and I tend to never take them seriously based on that fact. I was a leftist before the internet, just here because I REALLY love lolcows and you guys remind me of the internet of old. I'm not here to influence, I'm here to enjoy myself,. DTPN!!!Anisa and her husband, plus basically all of breadtube, are anti-left propaganda. Prove me wrong

The NRA is shit and there are better orgs
Dead on here, GOA is a great group, and they are doing good work. The NRA is similar to the "pro life" grifters like Lila Rose, (she's head of one of the biggest if not the biggest pro life groups), they benefit from the fight more than they do getting real change.Gun Owners of America (GOA) is the better group to donate to
Adding to this in that it is a weird white savior thing. Oh look at the little peasants with their cute smiles, oh to smile like then (spends 10k on ink)She’s viewing them as “interesting” NPCs not actual people.
With the context we have now, we can assume Max and Ethan were his best friends, the only thing he had besides his parents. But both Ethan and Max had long term partners and lives of their own.But his friendships, down to cancer crew, have been one sided. He probably has never had a friend in his life. Not in a sad way, I'm sure people have tried. And I'm sure Ian went through the motions of friendship until something came up to where you have to nut up or shut up in regards to the friendship, helping them move, helping them through a nasty breakup, picking them up from the airport hours away, helping take care of their house while they're away, etc.
Ian wants this to be the only thing he has fucked in his entire life
