The H3H3 podcast being on a new channel and on different services gave Ethen and Hila an opportunity to reinvent themselves grow a new more liberal audience while phasing out their main channel that had a more anti-SJW core audience.

Idubbbz (and Anisa) didn't want to retire his Idubbbz idenity and risk starting from scratch building a new audience. They wanted to radically change his presentation while keeping his current audience, so his "reinventing" was literally him getting on camera and saying "I am a cuck now and I hate you all. Please watch my new boring videos". He still has all the baggage of being Idubbbz the nigger faggot, but with a now spiteful audience who will alog him every day.
