I can't necessarily blame them when that's all they've ever known. Consider how many franchises have yearly releases that effectively makes the old game impossible to play as everyone moves on to the next, from sports games to Call of Duty and the like. That really seems to have started in earnest about twenty years ago, so zoomers have grown up in a world where it's normal for a multiplayer game they like to eventually peter off and die. It's stupid, but I see where they're coming from at least.
The video does a good job of illustrating the scale of the issue, so hopefully that helps with any potential future regulation. Considering the EU petititon still hasn't even crossed the halfway point with only about two months to go, barring some miracle, that avenue is likely going to be closed. But at least there are still other options that continue to be explored.
