if the courts don't instantly throw this out, you can be assured whatever judge hears this case is a completely owned asset, with no interest in the real constitutional establishment. there is no reasonable interpretation of the first amenedment that compels the federal government to fund any kind of organization at all. the first amendment is explicitly a limitation, not an explication. the constitution was written purposefully that the powers of government, the effective means of governing, might change as the times did, and the people needed simple, easy to understand guidance on how government should not be behaving, because it's up to them to decide how it SHOULD be, through alterations to the constitution made with supermajority voting of the states to ratify an amendment.
this case has ZERO legal standing on the first amendment, and it was an absolute mistake to take this to court on 1A grounds because the Trump admin is merely restricting funding, which the judiciary has proven completely ineffective at stopping him from doing. they will probably still manage to appeal the decision all the way to SCOTUS, and i'm sure justice roberts in his infinite wisdom will say that removing federal funding is the same as closing it down, so it goes back to the lower courts for a new hearing so they can determine if trump shutting down npr is constitutional, instead of ruling on the actual constitution that gives the president the power to determine where budgetary allotments are spent at his own discretion.
Of course they're not going to throw this out, they'll magically "randomly" get
yet another friendly lefty (or at least uniparty) judge that will declare that Trump can't do anything becuase he's not REALLY a President and besides the President can't do anything the unelected clerks of the US don't want him to do.
They'll issue a TRO preventing him from not doing what they want (i.e., not restraining, but compelling, action) and we'll be right back to the current desperate "Just throw anything you can get your hands on at the monster to try and stop it until we figure out what to do" stage the left has been in since early Jan and they discovered that Trump had spent 4 years studying with a bunch of autistic politispergs on just how much damage he can do to their little toybox without having to get permission from people who were absolutely, 100%, going to stonewall him until they can rig the midterms.

If he's such a threat, wouldn't they focus on more pressing issues with his policy? I then slowly drifted to the Edgy Renaissance period of youtube, along with watching a few "anti-sjw" channel, and watched private business grind that shit into the ground with a fury they didn't even show to ISIS beheading videos. That pushed me out of rage to 4chan, to 8chan and then here to kiwifarms. That's the real Alt-Right pipeline, and nothing changes unless that gets addressed.
But they can't address that, because "I want to purity test people to ensure they hold the correct rightthink opinions and punish them if they don't" is core to their values, the only thing stopping it from being perfect (to them) is that right now they can only perform social ostracization on you (and in severe cases, social lynching, aka cancelation). In their perfect world, which they leak in shit like that "dramamentary" in the UK where the random nigger stabbing British kids becomes a British kid that watched Andrew Tate once and turned into HitlerSatanTrump, they discover you're a wrongthinker and they put you in a re-education camp to "fix" you, or at least take you out of polite society forever.
This will start in places they have a more complete control over people -- schools, for example, will start seriously talking about "counseling sessions to save children from alt-right influence" which will literally be "we noticed you don't agree with Critical Theory and aren't acting like a female, lets talk every day at school in secret away from your parents with no recordings until you learn to agree with me or compulsively fake it until I'm satisfied you are no longer a threat." Family courts, too, as shown with the slow encroachment of "one parent thinks the child's dick should be cut off and the other doesn't, so the one that disagrees with us should permanently lose their parental rights forever" type shit. Therapists, too -- remember, they're already trying to get "disagrees with the alt-left" (sorry, "racism") to be declared a mental health if not public health issue.
If they can get that shit in place there, it'll spread over the next 10-30 years. Being denied unemployment for suspected racism or due to DEI quotas, for example. "Sorry James, all the Unemployment money went to niggers (again, man, what are the odds?!) this week, guess you can just eat shit, we have to pay Tyrone to sit on his fat ass impregnating whores until he's arrested again." Or mandated Diversity training for Job Applicants or UI benefits. Red flag laws restricting your rights to free speech -- if they can ban you from owning a gun, they can ban you from speaking -- if they decide you're a "threat." Mandatory therapy on your dime where you basically pay a leftist commissar for the right to be humiliated until you agree with them or give up.
