I think you meant Legal Mindset? Somali hasn't been talking about sentences that I've seen. But even then, Legal Mindset just about every time I've seen him talking about it has at some point referred to them as the maximums. So simply being indicted means that a defendant is already fucked. Add in the fact that federal prosecutors have seemingly unlimited budgets, whereas state prosecutors are dealing with significant restrictions on money and time, it usually makes sense for all parties to take a plea unless the defendant has "fuck you" money.
