Just run airgapped Windows 95.

Windows 98 if you're a real pro.
That caught me squarely off guard and make me laugh really hard, going to remeber that for the next dipshit that bends my ear about the "Walled Garden" buzzword and unironically just recommend airgapping the OS, Windows 3 was that by default cause it was on like 13 floppys, so funny how fast this whole industry evolved, before you couldn't even WRITE some kinda code to be "malicious" cause the compiler couldn't even handle the entire OS dump at once, but fuck me it was all read/write open to begin with so the idea of trying to make a program do anything other than just function was ludicrous.

Windows 2000 or nothing.
if we are being real the unironic pinnacle of operating systems was early build Windows 7 and Ill die on that hill. A enterprising individual could use a windows 7 computer to play some of the greatest games mankind has ever made, have some of the MOST unrestricted access to ALL THE WORLDS KNOWLEDGE and there was more or less total anonymity. It was a true Golden Era that will never be replicated.

David hogg wants cock in his butt, mouth, and hands, confirmed. How is it every single DNC and deep state dude who is morally evil like full blown homosexual? It's never straight dudes getting their dicks ripped off by Chinese hookers for military secrets now - Instead it's all gay dudes having coffee or wine.
A lot of the Project Veritas leaks (and James O'Keefe's new group) have been from straight guys flirting with the Veritas undercover women.
That said, the DNC has purposefully pushed out straight men from their visible leadership. There are still some "straight" men running shit behind the scenes, but at that point you're talking about people with absurd wealth who are either so sexually degenerate that they shouldn't be classified as "straight" anymore, or are so obsessed with power that they only see sex as a means to an end, whether that be facilitating alliances or creating offspring. So it makes sense that a lot of the leaks would be from the easiest vector to get info from: homosexual, coomer degenerates.

The question I have is whether this discussion happened before or after Hogg got kicked out of the DNC leadership. If it was before, was his removal because they got wind of this coming out soon? And if it was after, they're going to paint this as him talking in bad faith because he's got a vendetta after getting kicked out of the DNC leadership.

I think Windows 7 was the last Windows OS that it didn't seem like people were begrudgingly moving to. After the flop that was Vista, 7 was touted as "Windows XP, but better." And it more or less delivered on that front. It ran really smooth compared to the then-bloated mess that XP had become, and it was leagues above Vista. Then 8 came along and was such a fumble that it was essentially just "a Vista-level calamity with an even worse UI," and then 10 had so much potential spyware from telemetry that most people didn't want to move over

People just have a more nostalgic view of XP than 7 because it was the first time Microsoft made an OS that wasn't a pain in the ass to get and keep running. Most don't remember that working on a computer pre-XP was far more of a pain in the ass than running pretty much any user-friendly Linux distro today.

It really was, and I'm forever grateful I grew with that and not anything else.

There was a time where Windows Server 2012 was the current platform for Windows Domain administration. Those 4 years between Server 2012 and Server 2016 were the longest of my Tech career. Imagine trying to administer production and application servers but with Windows 8's shitty touch screen/Mobile device UI. It was the only time I gleefully dropped my entire lifecycle budget to bring in a new box early and lose a weekend migrating.

XP didn't really start getting good until SP1 and SP2.

Win2k is great and all. But if you want something modern and secure, just use linux.

Not only that, many of those families descended from prior legal immigrants not only can track the family line back to the day and time at Ellis Island, also have kept autistic records of all the contributions the family line has made to their new home country. For example, your great-grandfather designed the bearing assembly that was used on the original Westinghouse generators during the War of Currents, your grandfather was a detective and helped put a lot of mafia murderers in jail, and as you know, your father use to manage the foundry that made the steering knuckles for the Ford Crown Victoria before that was outsourced to Mexico.

Oh, there's a reason, just not a good one. The Windows 11 start menu uses React Native (archive). Yes, that's right. Your start menu is built in part using a web UI framework, one with known performance issues, when Windows already has other UI frameworks.

This is what happens when you let poojeets just blindly cargo cult the latest fads.
GOD I HATE THIS FUCKING SHIT FUCKING STEAM BLOWS TOO FUCK THIS START MENU IS US POLITICS 666 RACE WAR NOW
