every single person in this promo opening AEW tonight is wearing shit that is too immediately off-the rack. Swerve's pants look worn, everything else looks like shit they bought when they got to town or took from the merch stand
I suspect I'll be annoyed about this in a lot of promotions now

Ventura might be nutty but Goodman was his commentary funny. I just love pat and Michael couldn’t even argue with him they just silently agreed with him. Gos I miss when commentary was like that.

I basically can't stay up for live lucha anymore because my wife wants me in bed (which is gay and unrealistic)
but yeah my basic thought is that if this was just about any other belt on the planet this might be something to be mad about, but ffs Vacant has been AAA champ while the megachampionship was in the mail more than his reigns in any other company by a damnsight

This is just my opinion, but Penta outside of Lucha Underground has been buttcheeks. I say this as a fan but Penta really needs those smoke and mirrors to cover up his shortcomings. I remember his TNA run being ok but his AEW run and now his WWE run has been sloppy because he's overexposed and trying to work a lucha style but he's simply too heavy. Mysterio had the same problem when he first started bulking up in WWE and as a result he kept blowing his knees out and had to nerf his moveset. The editing in LU helped cover his botches but it also gave him character and a mistique that made him feel dangerous; if he couldn't break your arm, he was going to bash a light tube over your head for your troubles. Now he's le zero fear-o man with spoopy mask that does leg drops from the bottom rope that wouldn't crush a roach.
His best match so far has been against Gable in his debut and that's because Gable is calling the match and slowing him down. If there's any wrestler that would've benefitted from an NXT run, its Penta.
And you got to give it up for Chad Gable. My hope is that they let him loose in AAA and he tears the house down with everyone he's up against.
