The county has decided to refuse to follow through in releasing evidence and has gone even further to proclaim that it ISN'T evidence, so it no longer is viewable, which until literally this morning it was.
I kind of hope, if there isn't a law in the books about courts not being able to retroactively alter court proceedings, that this snowballs one into existence. Call it the Moonlight Code.

The Judge approved the request minutes ago. The Prosecutor personally walked this up to the Judge to get it done within an hour of the court opening, because the court knew that 3 women were going to the courthouse first thing in the morning to get the notes.

We're going to sue, but this is a frustrating setback.
going to sue, sure, but going to win? who knows!

We are getting that fotage, we have waited for a year, we can wait more.

The thing is, Nick would absolutely have said something about that if it happened. I mean it's not like he's a fan of the police.
I dunno, maybe there was a line out on the table and a cop snorted it. Nick wouldn't call them on it because he'd have to admit there were lines on the table.

The only way to dispel this rumor is showing the bodycam footage.

Btw all 3 women were set to review the footage a final time today and within minutes of the order coming in they got emails telling them to fuck off

they knew they were coming and rushed this shit through

we do have notes but not what I wanted, which was 3 testimonies of both videos. I have one complete video testimony of one and two partial testimonies of the other.

I'll release it asap

The "Thankyou!" Typo really just sums up what a shitshow this all is.

We have 2 attorneys working pro bono.
I’ll love you forever if you cite George Floyd in your response to this. Imagine, Minnesota police are already heavily under speculation for their poor response to the fentanyl Floyd speculation. Who’s to say that they didn’t violate Nicky’s rights during his arrest?

Now they are trying to hide their malfeasance by bullying the defense in agreeing not to release the footage after they’ve already sentenced him. Minnesota police killed Floyd, who’s to say they ain’t keeping another nigga down?

I don't think the approval is a surprise, but I really think they are going to struggle to undo the prior decisions on the release.

From what I gather, it is actually already considered public, even if it has yet to be officially turned over.

Best of luck!
Yeah I don't see how this should ultimately affect their status. They were already deemed public documents as a matter of law. Even assuming for the sake of argument that the criminal court changing their status to "Not Accepted" would affect their status as public under 13.82 (which seems unlikely), it would have had to have been done prior to the rulings ordering their release in order to have any impact.
