You are completely correct that the Devil is a supernatural being, and isn't bound by human laws at all. But men are. Men institute laws amongst themselves to govern their own behavior and temper their darker impulses, to set a standard for what should and should not be done, and make it harder for evil men to do evil.

Now, if the Devil wanted to bring more men under his yoke, and men obeying their own laws made that harder for him, what do you suppose the Devil might want to do? What about offering himself as a prize? All Man has to do is cut down those pesky laws that are getting in the way of bringing the Devil to justice. Pay no attention to the fact that men institute laws among themselves to protect themselves from other men who have fallen under the Devil's sway. Don't you finally want to capture and punish the fucking Devil? Do it, faggot. Burn down all your laws, your rules, your morals, your traditions. Is not the prize of the Devil himself worth it?

beirut was a big stockpile of ammonium nitrate, which basically just goes up in smoke. it flattened buildings and left a big hole where a warehouse used to be, but that's the end of it.
this was apparently a chamical factory working with phosphate compounds. it likely released huge amounts of hazardous toxins into the environment, very nasty for the people who live in the area.

Nah, they're still pretty easily fucked by foreign actors. India imports the supermajority of its petroleum products, alongside coal, plastics, and other petroleum derived products. If they see any major disruptions, their energy economy fails and they cease being an industrialized power until they can resume imports.

This isn't a unique situation, most countries in the region including China have the same problem, but to say they can handle the US or China moving against them economically is just wrong. The few jeet bastions of cargo culted civilization would collapse, and nothing of value would be lost.

Taxes are cool when they fund the roads and schools and infrastructure, sure, I think the problem is that my tax money has historically been funneled into forever wars in places I couldn't point out on a map. I'm glad Trump has been making cuts, they're sorely needed, but I'm still driving on broken roads and paying way too much in taxes for the privilege of blowing out my tires on potholes.

This doesn't look like as big as an explosion as Beruit. Beruit had a visible shockwave lasting multiple seconds which enabled Internet autists to estimate the initial blast having an equivalent force of 3 kilotons of TNT.

That doesn't mean that this isn't very bad, though. Since @CaliforniaRaisin's initial post on the topic, I looked up organophosphates. Perhaps not as nasty as halocarbons, but nasty nonetheless. The surrounding region is going to be toxic for a long time.

It doesn't look like it had the same blast force as Beruit. More in line with this gem from the 2010's. Also from China:


While maybe not as destructive in force, we may never know the true ecological impact of this. But it ain't fuckin good, that's for sure. Sarin gas is an organophosphate, for example.
