Fifty years ago, it'd be a slam dunk defense. Today, because faggotry and adjacent behavior like this are so "out and open" and it's broadly accepted now that all these kinks exist and "it's totally fine guyz!" not a chance. They brag openly about doing this shit, clearly knowing it's wrong, and they revel in the revulsion they cause in other people.

Any jurist hears (and sees) this kind of shit is instantly going to think back on the last pride parade or other fag antics made them queasy (even if they didn't understand why at the time) and realize "holy shit, these people are real, and they really do this shit on purpose." No way would they buy "oh I'm just fucking nuts tee-hee!" after watching him brag about pissing and shitting himself and then discussing calmly and quietly with another man for nearly forty minutes exactly what he wanted to do to an imaginary child. While sitting in his own piss and shit.
 
Is there a reason that the Chris Hanson guy with the beard has such a long heart-to-heart with the pedo? Is it to build up a case for the prosecution, or to show that the show is actually rehabilitative, or just so there's more content for the episode?
I'm kind of shocked that the predator ends up sitting there spilling his guts for the cameras for so long, what does he stand to gain? Then again, I can't understand why he didn't kill himself a long time ago, so I guess there's no rhyme or reason to any of it. Do they always talk like this, or do they usually run or fight or whatever?
 
That's what I'm saying. I feel like he was trying to gain rapport to gather more info on the pedo networks this guy was a part of, especially since right after he started asking for specifics about where he finds the content and who he talks to.
 
Random thought. Earlier eras of the internet were kind of "hide your PL" before that was even a meme in this circle, but that seems to have fallen to the wayside hard in the subsequent eras as guys like this can attest.

Everyone gripes from one level to another about the decline in common sense/education generation by generation, but are specific circumstances like this a weird W for that whole concept in general?

If people are this fucking retarded about not watching their asses, does that mean authorities are swooping up more disgusting freaks than they were in earlier eras where more common sense prevailed? To put on the tinfoil hat, is dumbing everyone down collectively, a net gain for sweeping undesirables in general, by making them easier to find?

They're not a major news network production, so they don't have enough pull with local law enforcement to arrange to have cops on-scene for the sting. They're dependent on the police showing up when called, and that's not instantaneous even when they're enthusiastic about busting pedos.

So this is a stalling tactic. They don't want their perp to run away before the cops arrive to arrest them.
