Pride Month

People are already bitching on blusky about Target only seeming to have a hoodie where the only pride thing on it is the drawstring.

Seems most of their pride stuff is online and it is not as in your face. Except the weird bird thing.

You'll notice that all the Target Pride clothing and accessories have Adult in the product name. This is not unusual for clothing in adult sizes, but it is also true for the earrings and beaded bracelets, which look very childish.

The Overton window has shifted, and it is no longer as acceptable to market pride merchandise to children.

How can gays and trannies call themselves oppressed when they got a whole month forced to celebrate them after the supreme court pussified and passed gay marriage?

I can answer this one! An incredible deficit in self-awareness, unreal amounts of retardation, or extreme dishonesty just to push a very untrue meme to gain an advantage in social situations as a victim.
I asked that same question, and didn't get a straight answer. No pun intended.

They also can't add "oppressed in X area that isn't the West"
I pointed THAT out too, nothing.

Awww I love cows. ❤️❤️❤️
I hate pandering in general. Sick of this “oh you poor lonely man” from both sides bs, what are you going to do? clone their waifus in a vat? Or the “burgerkriegmiester men get hurt by patriarchy too” bs. All to get more people on psych meds that do more harm than good.

Feels weird man. Sure it was in the air last year already. Horrible vitriol in social media of companies and organizations changing pride logos. Some big sports one was bullied to change it back I think...

But how invisible it is this year. If I would not have been aware of pride month starting because people were expecting it, I don't think I would have noticed it. Sweet.

I fucking hate gay people.

I've been sexually harrassed at work by gay coworkers. My other coworkers just laughed about it and my boss did nothing to address the situation.

Once I lost my temper and threatened them, that made the harassment stop, but the fucking faggot played victim and acted like I'm just a homophobe.

But like, how many times do you stupid sodomite shit eating faggots have to be told, "No, I don't want to have sex with you." To get the message. Why does it take me threatening you with violence for you to leave people alone?

I hate faggots. TLGBTD

The addition of 'Adult' to the product listing does appear to have been rather studiously done. Obviously it won't stop the Munchausen-by-proxy moms from buying this shit for their kids so they can drag them along to Pride parades as accessories, but this move does give Target some plausible deniability- something they didn't feel the need to do in the years prior to this one.

I remember last year's Pride being noticeably subdued compared to previous years, but this time around it's crickets so far. This, coupled with Target's very deliberate branding of Pride shit as being for 'adults only', does make me think that the pendulum might just be heading back towards sanity.

Its what we've always said to be true. It never was about the cause it was about the money. They never cared, they never will care, they just want money. If killing the gays had a flag and they thought it was popular they'd swap to that flag during gay murder month.
Companies are not your friends. They are leeches that want to suck your blood.

Christ, it's not just the trash service but a near by city's law enforcement has gone full rainbow. It's times like this I wish I could actually share where I was on this evil dawxing site. Seems every state is going to shit, I don't remember these two last year, might be anti-Trump reactions.

Buju Banton did renounce the song as late as 2019, but I've seen tons of conflicting information about that. Some say he was genuinely remorseful over propogating hatred against homosexuals, others say that he's putting on an act, others still assert that he actually did perform the song live but at unofficial venues. Whatever the case may be: YouTube's the only way where you can unironically say "send fi di matic and di uzi instead."
My impression is he did so as a career move. A LOT of this shit isn't just people WAKING UP One day and saying "that song was stupid" it was being coerced, attacked, canceled, protested, departnered, refused calls back, ect ect ect. I can't rightly say its a CHOICE to delist it given all that. Just think of how many say something homophobic (or sometimes racist if you apply it to stuff like the NAACP years ago) and then suddenly read off a paragraph about "we care and love all minorities and we embrace and value all sorts of lifestyles" and do a photo-op despite being dead set against it before.

Its coercion imo, but fortunately the song is still around.

And you are right about jamacans. I had a jamacan boss at one point in a liberal area, and he was someone I could UNASHAMEDLY be against all that crap around, despite living in a liberal area. I think even most black or white people wouldn't do it. Guy was nice too. His accent was a bit tick wit de wey he be talking doe. :story:

When I looked really quick at this half awake my groggyness and slight lysdexia made me think it said diary month.

My prediction is that now that it's beginning to fall out of favour, brands will start coming out with statements like "We didn't change our branding and logos for Pride this year, because we stand against the corporatization of Pride and don't want to contribute to the detraction from it's true meaning".

That way they get to continue to pretend to be virtuous and still make a perfunctory and tokenistic gesture, while doing even less than they were before- all without drawing the full ire of the people who are by now sick of this shit. Win-win.

At least one big brand will try this, I guarantee it.

You could check on your end; I'm too lazy to link/screenshot individually, but:

Yeah. Granted, the month just started, but typically they'd do it early.
I'm checking Xitter right now and none of them are doing it. Blizzard, Activision, Starbucks, Microsoft, Bethesda, Bank of America, even the Democratic Party isn't doing it.
