Nick snatches defeat from the jaws of victory every time. All he had to do was be smug and not do anything. Instead he did the stream to very little fanfare and pissed off people who want to correct his misinformation. He also showed himself as being weak enough for parasites like EVS to use him as cover for their own failings. All his online 'friends' are waiting for their turn.

I think he'd have to do something constituting the practice of law. The "small law firm" shit is on pretty thin ice, though, especially since the "law firm" is defunct and a "law firm" must be owned by an actual licensed lawyer. The OLPR may take a dimmer view of it, though.

I would have to go back and see if Nick had a LOCALS chat running at the time of the arrest.

My take is that Nick grew up in a supposedly religious house (his grandparents were devout, at least) and he followed all the motions but never truly embraced it. He did everything because he was EXPECTED to do it; not because of any personal desire.

This... drifting... attitude carried on into his entire approach to life. Go to uni because that is what people EXPECT. Get married, because people EXPECT you to. Get a job eith an office because people EXPECT it. Have kids because people EXPECT it. Be a trad dad because people EXPECT you to be.

Nick lived his whole life to live up to other people's expectations and never developed any ambition of his own. So when problems came up while doing what was EXPECTED of him, he never had any investment to try to fix them. If anything, he was ANGRY that things did not work out becuase he was doing what he was SUPPOSED to do.
