Inactive Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka - Deadbeat (emphasis on "Dead") founder of Something Awful, forced out of his own community, on his second divorce, stuck his dick in crazy, "Birth Giver"

lowtax suicide note.webp

Lowtax really had to dedicate a sentence to his dog being okay and fed in his suicide note so he didn't get cancelled for animal abuse on top of being a deadbeat...

Was Lowtax really an "industry pioneer" or just make the right choice at the right time? He (and by extension, SA) peaked when he married his first wife in 2005 and after that it was straight down the tubes.
The lower case internet is a cruel mistress, many once pioneering applications and services like Netscape Navigator and Myspace have crumbled from a leading position to dust. Lowtax may have left a lasting impact if the claims that he helped popularize gameplay streaming are true, that's one novelty that has turned into a massive business today.

Yeah, another business he never capitalized on. Lowtax got freakishly lucky once with SA. Once. He was coasting on his entire life from that.

Got to take care of your dog. At least Lowtax was considerate in his suicide note.

Meanwhile if I die alone my cat will eat well for a couple weeks.

Don't feel too bad. Even if he didn't shoot himself with his hipster pistol, it's not like he would have been involved in his kids' lives anyway. I'm sure he'd expend way more time and effort trying to weasel out of child support than he would trying to be a parent or fighting to get visitation.
He could have tried fleeing to Mexico. Maybe he’d be spending FIVE STAR DAYS in a tin shack in Merida with another online celebrity in a similar position :diddler:

Now that’d be a hell of a sitcom.

An epitome of all the worst traits of his age group.
you're absolutely not wrong. Looking back on how a lot of us wound up leaving SA in the 00s I can safely say that we left because we were over it, done with being 20 something manchildren and started to take our lives seriously. With that came a lack of love for the kind of irreverence that a place like SA prided itself on. I'll always remember how funny Lowtax and the other writers were.

He was a drug addict and serial wife beater who abused his children and treated them like absolute dogshit.

If there's one guy you don't want to white knight for it's Lowtax.
On top of that, he had several chances to unscrew his life. After he found out Shmorky was a pedophile, after he woke up to how bad his moderators were making the site, and the Patreon. Null even offered to help port the entire site over to XenForo for something like 20k. In every instance he gave up and collapsed into doing whatever was easiest, which was nothing at all.

Lowtax's laziness is why the site is permanently stuck on its own fork of 20 year-old outdated forum software and why it's run by a troop of buttmad trannies that stand as the antithesis of what the site used to be.

:diddler: "Rich, mah boy, have yew seen mah xannies? I coulda sworn I left a half a bottle of them forget-me-nows around here somewhere... Can you help me look for 'em buddy?"
PillPilled.webp"Ethan.... What? Oh, the pills? I didn't know they were yours, the label said Miguel Sanchez, I took those an hour ago."
:diddler: "How could yew have gone and done that?! Yew know I can't fuck Pantsu sober!"

I am permadead forum owner WifeStomper58. I started hosting Something Awful when I was 22. By 44 I got really obsessed with the concept of "mediocre goonette pussy feet" and tried to chase it constantly until my thought process got really bizzarre and I would repeat things like "vindication" and "its just blood pressure medication that I'm taking with wine" in my head for hours, and my toes would get really sweaty until I'd slip and land fist-first on the girl I was cheating on my wife with etc, basically domestic violence. im now out of my children's live for good. I always wondered what the "ironic" style of parenting was all about; I think it's the having my daughters call me birthgiver and being really shitty with my ex-wives so I'm in their lives the bare minimum, what hugh heffner considered the cause of strippers. I would advise all people who "post" on something awful to be careful because it means you probably have a predisposition to a mental illness that will make you troon out. peace.

Knowing your own dad shot himself rather then even try and stay in your life is pretty fucking bleak though. Like that's something you never get over and are scarred with for life. Even if Richard was a horrible father they have to now life with that trauma for their entire lives.
You're looking at this all wrong.
Lowtax sacrificed himself to get an exploitative, narcissistic worthless sack of shit out of his daughter's lives for good. Had Lowtax not acted and shot that piece of human excrement dead, he would have plagued their lives holding them down for potentially decades. The guy he shot had abused the mother of his youngest child for years, taking her passport and isolating her family, and totally had it coming. That asshole kept trying to weasel out of his child support obligations.
Lowtax should be remembered for bravely taking that walking dogturd off the planet, even if doing so cost him his own life.

Truly, father of the year.

The only part that surprises me is that Lowtax did a a bathtub suicide. He always struck me as the spiteful type to do it in the living room all over the walls, and furniture, and carpet for no other reason than to be an asshole and pain in the ass one last time.
Same.

Just want to announce that Something Sensitive has officially forgiven the taxman for his crimes against the internet. Let go of your hatred and lust.
No we don't you fat fuck. Hope your fat ass gets ventilated by hoodniggers.

Naw we left the place because it was overrun with proto-SJWs and mod toadies that banned anyone actually funny, clever, or talented because they were a threat to the mods' ballwashing cults of personality. Then it turned out it was overrun with Pedos.
