Neither of them are citizens of Kuwait. They stood in front of someone who said they're married so they can cohabitate and none of their problems are fixed. They are in a 3rd world shithole. hope that helps

I was surprised they didn’t legally marry when they went to Thailand. It would have been pretty easy to organise as it is a popular destination wedding country.

That fact that they didn’t makes me question whether Salah actually wants to be married to her. It was always described as a mutually beneficial arrangement, so not a love match. If Canadian citizenship was his end goal (which is always has been), then cohabitation was the requirement. Salah bit off more than he could chew with Chinny, and I suspect he’s just operating now under the sunk cost fallacy. I’m pretty sure he’s always believed it was just a matter of time until she’d get him back to Canada, and that’s why he takes control of the finances and resents her spending money that could be paying off her bankruptcy sooner.

Just had a little bit of a brain blast, and it might be wrong but I want to share the theory. I now feel confident she is definitely still in Kuwait because if she was in Canada she'd be going live already to run her mouth and be ODD and shit all over Paws Kuwait from a safe distance.

The fact that she's lying low means that she's hoping everything blows over in Kuwait without her having to do anything. If she goes live or does a cameo, that provides evidence she's still definitely in Kuwait and thereby gives ammo to keep chasing her. If she just "disappears" she hopes she can just wait it out. Again, if she was in Canada she'd be flinging shit because there'd be no consequences to doing so.

See unlike westernized countries where new laws are publicly debated, voted on and announced long before they go into effect, in Arab countries laws are dropped without any warning and are effective immedately from announcement.

So the total ban on donations dropped a month ago, all donations, fundraising, and grifting prior to that was halal, but from that date forward it's absolutely haram unless you get a fundraising license now, which the government hasn't even created a way to apply for one for, which all the charities in Kuwait are currently waiting for.

I disagree. The last thing Chantal wants is to be publicly dumped and humiliated by yet another low value man, and if he's ordered her to not stream or else, then I believe she wouldn't no matter where she is. There is an unspoken understanding between them that each could ruin the other. And having a "husband" and being "claimed" by a "man" is the most important thing to her, psychologically. Where's *your* husband?!

For chrissake, she waddled with a quickness right back to him after he humiliated her with a sleazy lunatic! So he and the idea of a husband holds a lot of power over her.

While I don't think she is in Canada, I don't think she is in Kuwait. The center can't hold much longer, though. We will know soon enough.

Wasta.
The answer to many of these questions like "How are they married?" "How are they renting?" are answered by wasta. Wasta can be understood as "influence" but it is more than that. It is a type of underground economy that TPTB are fully aware of but unless it fucks with the economy or causes social upheaval it is allowed to exist. It is a complicated dance that begins with a small, familial "circle of trust" and expands outward.

Which is why I am highly amused when thinking of how Chantal has even begun to navigate such a society. Of course, the answer is that she has never ventured out into this society, any more than she participated in the Canadian world. (who is the Maple Prime Minister, Chantal ?) It was not until Chantal left the feedlot that she got herself in trouble.
She can however, tell you the entire menu of the Burger King on 3 continents!

Wasta begins with familial bonds and then expands to tribal or country affiliation. The "best" wasta is when someone above your social standing owes you favors, or holds you in such respect and trust, that they will vouch for you. So for a Kuwaiti citizen to be willing to give an official govt stamp to a "marriage" is pretty powerful wasta. IF Chantal and Salah are married, either legally or religiously, I suspect that Salah's fathers' influence or "wasta" may have accomplished this "loophole" union.

Kuwaiti society is rigidly stratified, with Kuwaiti's citizens being top of the heap. Any M.E. Muslim is going to be higher on the social rung than the smelly Hindu's or the Christian Filipinos. Syrians are considered less of a nigger than the Jeets and Pinoys. Syrians actually are held in higher regard than Egyptians, but depending on the country, local prejudices exist. Syrians will often be found in the managerial or educational class. This is all dependent on the current political climate, and other arcane formulations. The machinations of these societies is complex and ever changing. A wise person keeps their mouth shut and their eyes open to detect and track any change in the prevailing wind.
Game Of Thrones got nothing on the intricate and incestuous dance that you must be adept at, if one is to climb to the top of one's pre-ordained hellpit.
