This is honestly attrocious. At times I genuinely feel sorry for Ian, it's like he has absolutely no self-respect and very little self-value. Actually, no. He's outright a victim. A willing victim, mind you, but a victim nevertheless. Something that's been bothering me about this is the Snarker's response to Ian and Anisa not promoting Katy's child marriage activism. I do agree that no one owes anyone a platform, especially when it comes to political stuff. I have friends and family who constantly post about stuff I don't care about and that I am not going to bother reading about, let along re-post, even if it's something I agree with. Example, I have a friend that is constantly posting animal stuff. I love animals, but I'm not about to start signal boosting every animal related post.

That being said, if I had a good friend who helped me out for years, who traveled with me, who invited me into their home, etc. and they personally asked me for support, I would AT LEAST pretend to care. This is doubly so if it was for a cause that the person personally experienced. This is not some vague "Save the environment" bill, it was something niche and that everyone should be against.

Have a family member whose partner is abusive and even though she's been given tons of options to leave , she always backs out at the last minute because being with her abusive partner is just easier and more familiar.
