The GOP does not want a majority in the house or senate they want to be a slight minority or very very slight majority. They want to lose while being principled or win while giving the dems what they want. Maybe 20% at most of GOP members are actual Trump supporters. Deep red states are fucking braindead when it comes to picking senators and house members almost every time.

Hence why it's instead he turned on Elon over the GOp who hates him and will impeach him if they get a chance. They did everything to stop him in 2016/2020/2024. Trump treats his enemies better than allies.

His campaign was about prevent government from being weaponized against political enemies. Now he threatens his former ally because Trump got swindled by the GOP again. Everyone wanted him to weaponize it against the dems and their allies and he refused.

Elon is the one who pretty clearly turned on Trump over EV credits and unlimited immigrants. Elon literally got everything he wanted up until he had a shit fit over no more free money.

Trump has to work with the GOP to pass stuff or everything is just removed at the stroke of a pen. OBBB should be an easy pass but Elon is willing to lie about debt shit because he isn't getting his EV gibs or pajeets.
