He was allegedly exiled from Switzerland & fled to California, he posted a photo of Cartoon Network headquarters from his apartment window & with the combined efforts of Lazuli & ChristConsciousness, we were able to get his address.

It was more the first half of what you posted that I was basing off of. If Shad was using the names of bit part characters in, say, Harry Potter, he could use a similar defense to ChapterHouse. But, Shad has gotten away with his business for some time now, so I guess the topic is moot.
