General Best and worst VTuber designs?

The face tracking for real time Wario when he was still a floating head was fucking incredible. The fucking deadpan casual stare expression never stops making me laugh.

This might be a bit of a hot take on how bad this design is, but uhhhhh...

...Yam Albat. Looking at her is like looking at the protag of Owlboy, Otis, anywhere outside of his own game. For people who don't care, Otis has a beak nose, as in, he has a nose that looks like a beak, and then a proper human mouth beneath it, and Yam's design gives me this exact vibe.

She's got weird eyes and I don't like the gross bat-ears. The skirt is overly "busy" and could have been simplified some; the frills at her hips seem to have some weird Escher-esque perspective issues. The bat wings over the chest are kind of a cool design element though, and I'm not offended by the color palette. The biggest problems are really just the ugly eyes and ears (and the nose you already pointed out). I do think the poofy white hair is a mistake though - it makes her look like a weird blend of granny and little girl at the same time. It's just a little off-putting. I didn't even notice the pompadour at first - it's just absurd.

Yeah, the colour palette is probably the least offensive part of the design.

The sum of all parts still looks weird as shit, though - more awkward to stare at than Anya's model, - for some people. - or at IRyS 1.0.

EDIT: Also, I've realised both her and Squiiji made videos on "good vtuber design". Someone, furnish their girlcaves with nothing but mirrors.

Matara Kan is possibly my favorite vtuber to watch when she's collabing with other vtubers and streamers. She's got a lot of good qualities. Fun wine aunt hag vibes, lots of funny stories, strong voice, vibes with just about anyone, good at keeping the show moving, just as happy to be the butt of a joke as she is to crack one, etc.

But this fucking model is just abysmal.

If it wasn't for Nerissa's sister and that monstrosity she came up with, this would easily be the worst in my book.

90% of the time vtubers are just background noise for me, but every time I actually look at the stream, the big -tiddy pink puffball bug model makes me cringe a little

I don't know a whole lot of V-tuber stuff but one design that I love is Oozara Subaru's.

The bright and colorful colors are very striking and eye-catching. It compliments the tomboy look very well. Tomboys who wear thigh highs is also a weakness of mine.

A lot of people back in the day also shat on her design for being too busy (and her voice and numberfags who called her the runt of the generation). I don't think it's that bad but it's definitely not a top design contender.

My pick from hololive would be Kronii's

I like big tits as much as the next guy but it's simply too much at least compared to the proportions of the rest of the body (the legs are also way too long). In the above art it's not too noticeable but I remember it being a hot topic when this alt was made:

Anyone that willingly associates themselves with the term "black vtuber" more likely than not has a design that looks like wet diarrhea. Even more so if they have pronouns in bio and a cotton candy flag.

When it comes to designs I am honestly tired of all of the designs that are over the top with shit floating around, bunch of accessories and colors and shit. Hololive seems to have pulled back from some of that in the more recent designs and the "casual" outfits I really enjoy.
